Screen work makes Jennifer Garner a household name

By Jaimee Rose

Jennifer Garner

Transcript and scan thanks to TwinnerA, Vartan Ho #95.

We had no idea she was calling. When Jennifer Garner -- Alias star and red-carpet dresser extraordinaire - phoned Yes to chat about style and stuff, we nearly fell out of our chairs. There had been talk of a Yes powwow but -- wow! -- were we ever shocked. We didn't even have time to think of any good questions about her breakup with husband Scott Foley. But never you mind. We went right from shock to talk, wanting to know all about this so-hot actress's best beauty tips to her favorite thing to serve friends. And what we wouldn't give for Jennifer's arms ...

What's in your refrigerator right now?
Bottles of Crystal Light Raspberry Ice, boxed salads so (I) always have fresh salad, yogurt, fresh berries, lots of eggs, some wine and a ton of condiments.

What's the beauty product you can't live without?
Body lotion and body oil. I like to combine them. If your skin's in good condition, you can deal with how you feel about the rest of your body. Nuxe makes great body lotion. Try adding Kiehl's massage oil to it. You know, I'm really kind of a slut. I'll use anybody's lotion.

If you're entertaining, what do you serve?
Cheese and crackers and good wine, and good crusty bread.

What's the best thing about being famous?
I do get a lot of really nice products in the mail.

What makes a woman beautiful?
Self-confidence. No, make that a sense of humor.

If you weren't an actress, what would you be?
Oh, a million different things. I'd love to be a businesswoman. I've always been happy in every job I've ever had. There are a lot of horrible jobs out there. Most of them, I think, are pretty interesting.

What's the last thing you bought for yourself?
A new house. It's just really cozy, there are a million places to curl up and talk to a girlfriend.

Your Alias character, Sidney Bristow, is famous for her changing hairstyles. What's your favorite Sidney wig?
We have this great little blonde bob, and whenever I wear it, I end up wishing I was that girl -- she's so much cuter than me.
