Victor Garber embarked on the Titanic

He's Jennifer Garner's father on Alias

By F. R.

Victor Garber

Thanks to Helene for the transcript and scan! :)

T.S.: The success of Alias must have tremendously changed your everyday life?
VG : No, my life hasn't really been disrupted.

T.S.: We can hardly believe you…
VG : I was kidding! Everything in my life has been centring around Alias for 2 years. But I'm so happy.

T.S.: How does the audience react towards you?
VG: You know, when you show up once a week at people's home, with time you are kind of part of the family! As a result, when they meet me, they're quite direct and adorable with me. What I hear the most: "Oh my God, you look so much younger than on TV!" (He turned 54 on last March 16th).

T.S.: How is shooting with Jennifer Garner, the heroine who portrays your daughter Sydney?
VG: Jennifer is a real goddess. She's beautiful, but she's also very talented. And she's all the more so a wonderful human being!

T.S.: Have you always wanted to be an actor?
VG: Yes. I started on stage when I was 10. My first years as a professional actor were in Toronto (he's Canadian), notably portraying Jesus in the musical "Godspell". Then I was in plays and movies when, in 1997, I got famous thanks to "Titanic". I portrayed architect Thomas Andrews, beside Leonardo DiCaprio.
