Watch with Kristin
Sark! The Herald Angels Sing! Alias fans should be pleased to hear we get even more David Anders (Sark) this season. I recently chatted with the sexy--believe it or not, non-British--biscuit, and he revealed he's going to be in every episode this season. That's 22 compared with 15 the season before. Hurrah!
"I'm thrilled to be going back," Anders says. "It's sort of funny because Sark was originally a three-episode story arc. But I earned it, I hope. They really liked what I was doing and expanded the hell out of the character."
Anders also reveals he was just as shocked as the rest of us at the season finale. "When I read it, I was like, What?! What is going on?! We still don't know what happens next. But the first script this season has blown everybody away, even though no one knows what's happening..."
What?! How can everyone be blown away from a script they haven't read? I smell a squeaky wheel who won't squeal...
After a little needling, Anders did give up a little dish: "I guess I'm still in prison, and we'll go from there. JJ Abrams has a terrific escape plan for me..."
Despite my best efforts, that was the extent of his spillage. Not even a morsel about the wild and crazy rumors that he has something in the works with Sydney (sibling, sizzling or otherwise).
And a final reiteration to all you crazy casting peeps: David Anders is not a Brit, he just plays one on TV.
"It's funny, people always wait for the accent," the 22-year-old said. "A lot of casting directors think I'm British and 28, so that kind of hurts when I'm looking for movies."
Seems unfair to be punished for playing a role so well. Then again, if that keeps my man Sarky on the show longer, I can live with it.
