Behind the Scenes as Jennifer Gets Wet & Wild

ET is exclusively with JENNIFER GARNER as she sheds her tangerine, Oscar® Valentino gown and zips into a basic black, scuba dry-suit for the March 28 episode of ABC's "Alias," in which she and MICHAEL VARTAN take on Oscar nominee DJIMON HOUNSOU.
Djimon reprises his role as Covenant kingpin Kazari Bomani in "The Frame" episode, airing at 9 p.m. As the story unfolds, Sydney and Vaughn are in hot pursuit of the keys to a Rambaldi box when they inadvertently lead their enemy into an underground tunnel with a river. In the process of escaping, Bomani destroys our heroes' scuba equipment. Of course, the tunnel is too long to free swim. So the dynamic duo has to find a way out without drowning, even as the tunnel is about to cave in on them.
"How many times have our lives been on the line, and how many times have we had Marshall's jacket which turned into a parachute?" Michael asks with a laugh. "We are used to being in, 'This is the end of the line,' situations, and then, 'Oh my god, there is a paperclip, we're saved.'"
While Sydney and Vaughn don't phone MacGyver to come up with a solution, they do manage to find a way out onto dryer ground, but not without going mano-á-mano with Djimon -- well, at least Sydney does.
"This is not the first time Sydney has had to take care of Vaughn," Jennifer says. "This show constantly puts us in situations that are uncomfortable or seem like they are never going to end, but the whole cast shares the opinion if you are not having a good time, other people would like to have your job, so get over yourself and have fun."
Even though Jennifer says she and Michael were enjoying their time in the water -- it sure beats a day job in an office -- it also lacked some of the amenities of the average workplace.
"It was freezing and I really had to use the facilities -- that sounds so gross -- I really had to go and there was nowhere to go," she says. "So you are waiting and waiting, and finally everybody has to wait while you go upstairs, unzip and take this thing off."
Also on the March 28 episode, Jack (VICTOR GARBER) discloses his suspicions about Lauren's (MELISSA GEORGE) allegiances, Lauren's mother (guest star PEGGY LIPTON) is faced with a tragedy, and Vaughn decides the fate of his marriage.
