taff -- Behind the Scenes of Alias

Thanks to Jules, Vartan Ho #2060, for the transcript and translation!

Voice Over: She’s seductive, she is adaptable like a chameleon and most of all dangerous as hell -- Jennifer Garner alias double agent Sydney Bristow. In the role of the beautiful action heroine, the 31-year-old actress shows speed of aim and reaction.

Voice Over: The filming for the second season -- another big challenge for the leading actress -- Jennifer Garner did nearly all her neck-breaking stunts herself.

*JG talking*

"A lot of the easier stunts by ourselves, but we also do those where we a falling down buildings. Even if I am often afraid, it’s fun. I may be afraid, but I know that I can trust my team with my life."

"In the end though, you still need a stuntman. If it’s supposed to be looking really dangerous, the doubles do re-filmings of several scenes of the actors in order to increase the action and tension."

Voice Over: Michael Vartan, who plays Sydney’s superior officer Michael Vaughn, is okay with that.

*MV talking*

"It’s technically one of the easier ones, because we’re only roping down. But for me as a male it was one of the harder ones, since I forgot to put my harness on and now the this *?* side of my anatomy is not feeling too great."

Voice Over: Another opportunity for colleague Jennifer to get a good laugh.

*JG talking*

"He’s using the harness not that often. I am laughing my behind off *very rough translation* when I observe him and he says, ‘It hurts, doesn’t anyone understand that?’ Well, I am a girl, I think it’s funny. You don’t see the men laughing."

Voice Over: During the filming of the second season, the two leading actors are rumoured to have come closer not only in their working relationship; they are accused of having had a hot affair. In the meantime, though, the two have broken up already.

*scenes from Endgame, bed scene*

Voice Over: You can convince yourself that the outcome hasn’t suffered from it. The first episode of the second season of Alias airs tonight at 9:15pm on Pro Sieben.

Jules note: Please note again, that "taff" is a gossip magazine and that is not to be taken serious that MV and JG have broken up; they are as reliable as Ted Casablanca, so don't pay attention to the comment about them having broken up.
