Vartan loving 'Alias' experience

SPOILERS!

New York, NY, Jun. 8 (UPI) -- "Alias" actor Michael Vartan says he would like to continue on the series, even though a season-ending cliff-hanger suggests his character may not survive.

The actor's recent break-up with "Alias" star Jennifer Garner and the season finale in which his character reveals a dark secret then appears to be hit by a car, is firing rumors he might be written off the show. But he told reporters in New York he would love to keep working on the series.

Despite the long days and physical demands of his "Alias" role, the actor said the hard work is worth it because the show, going into its fifth season, is so good.

"I am constantly amazed at J.J. Abrams, the creator. Literally, after every episode, we think: 'OK, that's it. Clearly, we can't do anything (better than that). We've done it all. She's run down 50 hallways; she's worn 75,000 wigs. Are there any bad guys left to kill?'

"And, yet, somehow they always come up with a twist to make it fun. I love the show. It is my favorite job I've ever had."
