"Big Shots" Fall Preview

Christopher Titus, Michael Vartan, Joshua Malina

Concept: Four alpha males deal with women, golf, and jobs.
The Scoop: "The goal is to create well-rounded male friendships in the way that Sex and the City did for women," explains exec producer Jon Harmon Feldman (Reunion). Some story lines include the sexcapades of Duncan (The Practice's Dylan McDermott), the divorce of James (Alias' Michael Vartan), the affair of Karl (The West Wing's Joshua Malina), and the henpecking of Brody (Titus' Christopher Titus). Says Vartan: "Women can see what guys really talk about."
Bottom Line: While these alpha males weren't Sex and the City witty in the pilot, Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas has signed on as a consulting producer -- snappier, smarter dialogue is sure to follow.
