How did you prepare for your role on HawthoRNe?
We had a boot camp where a real ER doctor and several nurses came in and gave us the rundown on basic stuff. We don't want doctors e-mailing the show and saying, "We don't do it that way!"
What's your favorite TV show?
I hate to say it, but ESPN's SportsCenter. I love sports. I play hockey three nights a week when I'm not working. I also love Whale Wars on Animal Planet. It's insanity! What they go through to save those whales -- it's beautiful!
Do you have a TV crush?
Gretchen Mole, from Life on Mars. She's adorable.
Favorite TV-watching spot?
On a lazy summer afternoon I get on the couch and put on a Mets game. The dog lies next to me and we have a little power nap.
