Scott taking act to NL, indie pics

Adam Scott will shoot back-to-back features, signing on to star opposite Jennifer Lopez in "Monster-in-Law" for New Line Cinema and the indie "Matador" for writer-director Richard Shepard. "Monster" centers on a woman (Lopez) who is set to marry the perfect guy (Michael Vartan) -- until she meets his mother (Jane Fonda), the world's worst mother-in-law. Scott will play the sidekick and confidant of Lopez's character.
