A bit of a Rogue

From Sydney Confidential

ALIAS star Michael Vartan has arrived in Australia to start filmmaker Greg McLean's $25 million follow-up to Wolf Creek.

Vartan will play the lead role of an American journalist in Rogue, a film centred around a man-eating crocodile.

Phone Booth, Melinda And Melinda and former Neighbours' star Radha Mitchell, AFI winner Sam Worthington, John Jarratt and Stephen Curry also have major roles.

The film is being backed by powerful Hollywood filmmakers Bob and Harvey Weinstein.

Filming will start today in the Northern Territory and last for three weeks, before the production relocates for the duration of the shoot to Warburton, in Victoria.

Rogue is McLean's follow-up film to Wolf Creek, the low-budget horror flick that has been a surprise box-office smash.
