Wolf man to take on croc

AUSSIE actors Radha Mitchell and Sam Worthington have been snapped up to star in a $25 million movie about a man-eating crocodile.

Mitchell, best known for parts in Love and Other Catastrophies, Phone Booth and Pitch Black, has signed on for a headlining role in Rogue, director Greg McLean's big-budget follow-up to his debut, Wolf Creek.

Wolf Creek, made for $1.3 million, has seven AFI Awards nominations, including Best Director for McLean, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor and Best Cinematography.

Last year's AFI Best Actor winner Worthington has also scored a major role in Rogue.

Producers are believed to have signed a US actor of significant profile over the weekend for the male lead with production to start on November 14.
