Summary:
Last time on Alias, Sydney is being shot at. But Dixon saves the day and gives great cover fire. Back in LA, Will wins a prestigious award, but he's too busy with his SD-6 story to think about it for more than a moment or two. He meets up, yet again, with David McNeil, and he learns even more about SD-6, Alain Christophe, and Danny Hecht's murder. Sloane finds out that Will has spoken to David McNeil, and has the videotape to prove it. He confronts Jack, and wants Will killed. But Jack manages to halt the assassination, promising to get Will off the story or, "I'll kill him myself." He tells Sloane that Sydney shouldn't have to lose another person in her life that's close to her, and Sloane, reluctantly, agrees- for the moment.

Later, Sydney meets Vaughn at their storage space. Her newest mission from Sloane is to intercept an exchange between 'The Man' and Sark, to take place in Tunisia on a K-Directorate boat. The item? The Rambaldi manuscript. Sydney's counter-mission is to photograph the manuscript for the CIA. On the mission, Sydney looks super-cute in her Tunisian disguise, as a stranded girl in need of gasoline. The idiotic K-Directorate thugs are easily disposed of, with a good, old-fashioned ass-kicking. She manages to find the manuscript in a briefcase, handcuffed to another thug to which she, again, kicks ass. She proceeds to photograph all of the pages before Sark and his henchmen catch her. She and Dixon take off.

Back in LA, Will is leaving from his latest visit with David McNeil, and is driven off the road. He is kidnapped and warned by a masked man, with a voice scrambler, to back off the SD-6 story. Only the man's eyes are visible. He warns Will, who has been slapped around a little for good measure, that any further investigation into SD-6, or anything related, will result in the death's of all those around him. The kidnapper shows pictures and reads off addresses of Will's family, and Sydney. Will agrees to back off. The kidnapper knocks Will out and begins walking away, when we see him removing his mask. It's Jack, in his last ditch effort to get Will off the story and, effectively, save his life.

Back at the safe house, Vaughn tells Sydney they want to plant a bug in Sloane's office. Vaughn tells Sydney to get invited over for dinner at the Sloane house by Emily, Arvin's wife, who knows nothing about Arvin's real job. She and Sydney were close once, but Emily had gotten cancer, and had become "a recluse." Sydney doesn't like the thought of using Emily, but Vaughn argues it would be her last chance to do something good for her country. She eventually gives in and calls Emily, who invites her and a friend over for dinner.

Will wakes up to his ringing phone, and Sydney invites him to dinner at Sloane's house. He's disoriented and doesn't know where he is, but he agrees to go. Later, Jenny picks Will up in the middle of nowhere, only to be faced with his ungratefulness. She realizes he's breaking up with her and she slams on the breaks. She tells him she isn't his assistant anymore and kicks him out of the car, rightly so.

Sydney goes to meet Vaughn after he calls. She's dressed for dinner and looks great. Vaughn notices… a lot. Jack is also there, and informs her that there was a problem with page 47 of the Rambaldi document. They need Sydney to get it from Sloane's office safe and replace it with a knockoff. He also wants her to plant the bug in his office at the same time. She thinks it's risky with Will being there. Jack is taken aback a bit by this, but thinks the risk isn't that great. Vaughn says he'll call her in the middle of dinner, disguised as a friend in need, and she'll use that as an excuse to get away from the table.

Later at the dinner party, Sloane meets Will and takes Sydney into his office to look at the Rambaldi document. She plants the bug. Sloane goes through the book, and we see one page is blank. Sydney realizes this is page 47. Later, while Emily discusses Will's article and award, Vaughn calls and Sydney runs off to the office. Sloane offers to get another bottle of wine, and despite Jack's efforts to stop him, Sloane goes straight for the office. Sydney barely manages to steal the page before she runs into Sloane, who looks at her as though he knows she was up to no-good. But they go back to dinner.

Back at SD-6, Sloane decides that if Will refuses to get off the investigation, he'll have him killed. Jack agrees. Will is being watched as he visits David McNeil one last time. He tells McNeil that he is off the investigation, and despite McNeil's persistence, Will refuses to put his family and friends at risk. McNeil understands. Sloane is happy with this, and calls off the assassination. Back in the safe house, Vaughn receives disturbing news and calls Sydney right away. He tells her they've decoded page 47, using the liquid Cole stole from the SD-6 vault in The Box 1+2, and she should brace herself. He hands her the page. Sydney stares at it in shock and we see she's looking at a 500-year old portrait of someone who looks exactly like her, with writing all around her picture.
