A Note About Our Earlier Note About the Alias Content on This Site

Re: While we don't cover Alias anymore, even though some fans believe it's a good show again in season 4.

We respect your opinion and still report on Alias as it pertains to Michael. But we're all very busy. The Web site takes a lot of time and energy, and we prefer to spend our limited time and energy on what we actively enjoy and are fans of, which is Michael. We're just not that interested in Alias anymore, certainly not to the extent of spending as much time on it as we used to when we were big fans of the show. As our like for Alias waned, we decided we wanted to be a Michael site, not an Alias site. After all, we don't cover Jennifer Lopez and Robin Williams, just because they are/were in movies with Michael, so likewise we're no longer covering everything to do with Alias just because Michael is in it.

We're not paid for this -- in fact, we pay for the site ourselves. Covering something we aren't fans of would make this more like a job that would make us grow to resent it than something we do out of our love and appreciation for Michael. We want to keep our enjoyment of the site and not make it become a chore. For some of us, it became a chore last season when we were still trying to cover Alias fully despite our waning enjoyment of it. We want to be excited about adding things ("Can't wait to add these new Michael pictures!") not resentful ("Oh, jeez, I have to add these two articles about Alias now, I'd rather be reading this book.")

Also, we do not share some people's definition of what a "true fan" is or what a fan has to do to be called such. We don't believe that fans have to remain fans of anything no matter what, and if they don't, that doesn't mean they weren't "true fans" to begin with. It belittles people's feelings and choices to call them "not true." It's like saying, "Well, if you got divorced, you must have never really loved each other." Can't agree with that. Things change and people change, but that doesn't change past feelings.

So we are still fans of Michael, but we are no longer such fans of Alias, and we choose to have our Web site reflect that.
