INCOMING TRANSMISSION ...

Sunday, August 25th, 2002 Update by: Kate, Vartan Ho #1

Spoilers!
For those of you that missed it last night, we've posted a ton of new spoilers to the Episode 5 page. Read them all, enjoy, and please remember the disclaimers!

And the award goes to...
According to Zap2It, and thanx to Whoosh, Jennifer is slated to be a presenter at the Creative Arts Emmys. Read all about it.

Yeah that's nice an all, but what I really want to know is if she and Michael will present at the annual nighttime Emmy Awards? Let's pray to the producing Gods.

Promotion on our site...
We've been receiving a ton of e-mail about 'Hype Council', along with their ad banners and such. Normally we are happy, and will continue, to answer every e-mail individually, but we've been getting so many, from so many different people, we thought we'd address it here as well. We appreciate all the e-mails we've received about it, but we just aren't interested in having banners/ads on our site other than the ones we promote ourselves. We'd like to thank everyone anyway, and hope they continue to enjoy and share our content. Because they want to share, not only because we advertise them. Thank You!

More reviews
We've got another review up,here, thanx to The New York Times. Thanx also go to akatolstoy for sending it in. : )

Highlights
Lugia has updated the new TV Highlights article, with a little help from her friend Melli, Vartan Ho #120. Thanx to both of you for all the hard work!

Saturday, August 24th, 2002 Update by: Kate, Vartan Ho #1

Update Alert! 9pm
We've added a ton of spoilers to episode 5 on the spoiler page. Enjoy, and read the disclaimers!

Mo' Michael, Mo' Michael, Mo' Michael!
Did I really make an 'In Living Color' reference? Lord. Anyhoo, not much to report today, but we spoiled you rotten with yesterday's update. So read that one again if you're bored. We've added a few more pictures from the OHP premiere here. Michael really knows how to work a watermark ; )

And you can also check out 2 pages worth of pics from that fantastic KTLA interview.

Bad editors...BAD!
Thanx to MPixie, we've got another blooper for you to scoff over. Keep it up everyone!

Articles
Thanx to Angela, Vartan Ho #222, with the second thanks to Souris, we've added 2 new Alias articles. Here, from TV Zone, and here, from the Christian Science Monitor.

The sound of music...
We've had a few more wishes added to The Wishlist, so go check those out. Stay tuned for the Music sections whole new look, which we'll be upating around the premiere. It includes music clips, a slideshow, and all kinds of goodies. We'll keep you posted. That's it folks, see you tomorrow : )

Friday, August 23rd, 2002 Update by: Kate, Vartan Ho #1

The Assassinations continue...
Souris has updated the always hilarious Fashion Assassin with the bludgeoning of Color-Blind. Definitely check that out.

Vitriolic Souris Rant, er, VSR!
Souris has threatened to unleash her inner Lewis Black if this the second season of Alias doesn't produce better VSR results. So J.J. take heart. In the meantime, check out the newest in caustic VSR's, Color-Blind.

Jennifer is very Allureing
Thanx to Souris, we've got the great images of Jen from the Sept. 2002 issue of Allure Magazine, with photographs by Michael Thompson. My favorite was the cascade of images 'Intelligence Gathering' page. I love reading what the Jen has to say in her own words.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's...
Development Hell! There's a lot to read at Coming Attractions (click on 'Superman', and scroll to 'August 22'). According to a 'source', J.J. is the only one with his head on straight. The production company is, apparently, very happy with his latest version of his screenplay. Getting everyone else into place, including cast, has proved almost impossible. Thankfully, we'll know sooner rather than later about the fate of the production. Thanx to Debbie for the news.

Coincidence? I think not!
Another great catch has been found for the Coincidence section, this time caught by Mush, Vartan Ho#416. Great job! Keep searching folks!

Last Call...
According to the NBC guest list for the Carson Daly show 'Last Call', MV is not a scheduled guest on Sept. 3/4 as it was reported. So while he will be *taping* that day, his segment may not/probably won't be *aired* that night.

Money, money, money
Thanx to The Hollywood Reporter, we now know OHP has made $20,447 in the two NYC theaters is debuted in. That a great sign for the overall weekend B.O.. Anyone want to take a guess as to how much it will make over the next 3 days? Read more here.

More One Hour Explosion!
There's a ton of One Hour Photo news to report. First, you want premiere pics? We got premiere pics. Go check out the newest in MV pictures on the One Hour Photo Premiere pic page.

Next, you can check out some clips from the movie here. Sadly, no interviews, but there are 3 clips and the trailer.

There are 20+ new reviews on the OHP Review page! Read a few here, thanks to Dark Horizons, Digital Theatre & Yakobusan, here, thanks to Latino Review, and finally here, thanks to entfirst.com.

You can also check out the One Hour Photo video clip interview with Robin Williams.

And finally, a must-see I've been told, is Michael Vartan's KTLA clip! Thanks to Jenny from VartanEtc. for the heads-up.

Thursday, August 22th, 2002, OHP premiere day! Update by: Lugia, Vartan Ho #8

The MV media blitz continues!
Lori from the fabulous Vartanetc. reports that "In addition to appearing on The View, Michael will be appearing on the Today Show and Last Call with Carson Daly on Tuesday, September 3."
The following ticket information was forwarded to her so fans can attend the Last Call filming:

"TICKET INFORMATION

If you will be in the NYC area and would like to reserve your free tickets for the show, please send an email to lastcallaudience@nbc.com. Tickets are on a first come first serve basis.

Please put "Michael Vartan" in the subject heading, and include your full name, phone number and the number of ickets you would like to request. There is a limit of 4 tickets per party. You will receive an email to confirm our reservation if you receive tickets. All audience members must be at least 16 years of age."

The same thing happened when David Duchovny was on Last Call just a couple of weeks ago and fan accounts have been very positive. So I'd highly recommend it and feel free to submit your experiences if you're one of the lucky ones that get to see Michael up close and personal. ;)

The official One Hour Photo premiere is today!
So be on the look-out for pictures, interview snippets and TV coverage tomorrow! Hopefully E!, ET, Access Hollywood and Extra will have some coverage. We'll keep you posted. :)

Cute Michael

OHP cast interview video clip
There's a three and a half minute long One Hour Photo cast interview (including Robin Williams, Michael Vartan and Connie Nielsen) over at Hollywood.com. It's available in various formats and highly recommended. It does contain some big spoilers, though, so you might want to save it for until after you've seen the movie. :) Thanks to Corinne and Anonymous for the heads-up! :)

High praise for J.J.
Check out an exciting report from Coming Attractions about J.J.'s Superman 5 script. It "has been handed into Warner Bros. execs -- and it has apparently knocked the socks off of everyone there". Sounds extremely promising! Thanks to Debby for the heads-up! :)

Alias trading cards & Alias in the UK
Whoosh reports that there's a short mention of the Alias trading cards on SciFi Wire. Inkworks is going for a December 4th release date and the cards will feature scenes from the first season and if you're lucky cast autographs and costume pieces. Oh, what would I give to get a piece of Vaughn's blue oxford.... Ehem. ;)

Also according to Whoosh, Channel 4 in the UK has secured the rights to show Alias on terrestrial TV this fall. Here's what they had to say: "Channel 4 has secured the rights to show hit US series Alias on terrestrial TV in the UK. Alias attracted over 15 million viewers on its debut on ABC, and was hailed as Best New Drama by Entertainment Weekly. It stars Jennifer Garner as a graduate student who leads a secret life as a CIA double agent. Garner received a Golden Globe for her performance, and the series has just received 11 Emmy nominations. The 22-episode drama series will premiere on Channel 4 in the autumn."
This is great news because now all non-Sky viewers can enjoy it, too! :) Have fun watching!

That's it for now, but I'm sure more One Hour Photo coverage will start rolling in soon. What a great week to be a Vartan Ho! :)

Wednesday, August 21th, 2002, OHP opening day! Update by: Lugia, Vartan Ho #8

More MV appearances
According to Corinne, Michael will make an appearance on ABC's The View on Tuesday, September 3rd. We don't believe it's syndicated, but better check your local listings! In case you'll miss it on the 3rd, you can always try to catch the repeat on Wednesday the 4th, when the cable network A&E will be re-airing it. :) For the exact times we'll keep you posted or just check your individual listings. ;) Should be interesting to see Michael in the midst of all these lovely ladies, even if he won't be their featured guest star. ;)

Also thanks to Corinne, the Friends episode Michael appeared in, "The One With Chandler In A Box," will be shown on TBS on Saturday, August 31st. Corinne reports that she's pretty certain that TBS is a nationwide network and so hopefully everyone should be able to see it. Where she lives, it's airing at 5:30 p.m. which would mean that it airs at 6:30 p.m. eastern time if it's not syndicated. Thanks for all the information, Corinne! :)

In other news
According to Souris they had a brief bit on Access Hollywood last night about JG's Allure cover story. They said it would hit newsstands next Tuesday, and they showed some rather spicy pics of her from the mag.

Bradley Cooper is Cosmopolitan's "Hunk of the Month" and featured in their September issue. We posted a short quote from this issue earlier which you can reread here.

One Hour Photo opens today!
Yay, finally the day has arrived! ;) Everyone who can access it in their cities, have a nice time! :)
To celebrate, we have two new USA Today articles! One deals with otherwise upbeat actors taking on dark roles for a change and includes some interesting Robin Williams quotes. The other is a review of the movie. You can also read an AP article entitled "Five Questions With Connie Nielsen". Enjoy! :)
Andrew from Fox Searchlight reports that Robin Williams and director Mark Romanek will be appearing on PBS' Charlie Rose *tonight* to discuss the movie, so check your local listings!

Have a great One Hour Photo opening day and feel free to submit your reviews! :)

Tuesday, August 20th, 2002 Update by: SB, Vartan Ho #2

MV appearances, media clips
According to Lori at vartanetc., Michael will be appearing on KTLA Wednesday morning, August 21 (for those in the LA area). You may also want to be on the lookout for coverage of the OHP premiere on Thursday the 22nd.

Lori also has up a clip of yesterday's Extra, the Alias theatrical trailer, and the Sundance clip, so definitely check those out!

Articles, articles, and, oh yeah, how about some new articles?
Thanks to every one of the 30 million people who sent this to us! (It was worth reading each time <g>.) If you haven't read it yet, TVGuide had 7 silly questions for Michael to answer. He did. And the fans were greatly amused. :)

AP has a review of OHP that you can read here. Don't forget, OHP opens tomorrow, and in the coming weeks, it will be playing in more cities around the country and parts of Canada.

In USA Today there was an article about ABC's current state, with a short Alias mention regarding more seasons. Sounds promising to me!

Thanks to Whoosh at Jennifer Garner Yahoo Group for this new review: TeeVee Awards '02: Best New Show .

Spoilers, wish list
Kate's back (welcome back!), and has updated with new spoilers for episode 4, as well as Bradley's movie, My Little Eye. She also added two new images (a new banner and a magazine photo) to the Daredevil page.

And finally for today, Kate updated the music wish list and sends her apologies to Blueviva and BKNC for the delay in getting their requests in, but she's been on vacation for a couple of weeks.

Have a great Tuesday, and don't forget Michael on E! News Live today!

Monday, August 19th, 2002 Update by: SB, Vartan Ho #2

TV reminders
Don't forget that Michael will be on Extra tonight, so check your local listings for times/channels! Also, G was kind enough to let us know that, according to E!'s website, Michael will be on E! News Live on Tuesday (tomorrow).

Celli, Vartan Ho #21, told us that "Hot Ticket" will be reviewing OHP next week. You can find out when/where it airs on their website. Thanks, Celli! Ebert and Roeper should also be reviewing OHP next week (find out when/where in your local listings).

And, because that just isn't enough Michael, don't forget about the OHP documentaries E!, Sundance, and MAX. If you've forgotten the times/dates, check out last Friday's update (you'll have to scroll a tad). You won't want to miss these, because according to Virna, Michael is in a lot of the scenes. She reports:
"Cinemax: This featurette ran about 15 minutes and it showed a lot of scenes from the movie, but concentrated mainly on Robin Williams' character "Sy". My favorite part was when they showed Robin rehearsing with Michael and being his usual manic Robin self. He was being over the top and hugging Michael and you can see Michael laughing and trying to fend off Robin's bear hug. The darker parts of the movie were also alluded to although not too much was spoiled regarding the "thriller" parts.

"Sundance Channel: This documentary ran about 30 minutes and it was actually really interesting. They dissected the scene where "Sy" meets "Will Yorkin" for the first time. There was a lot of Michael in it and we actually see several snippets of him talking about the whole acting process. My favorite part was a videotape of Robin and Michael in a very informal read-through of the scene. The director told Robin to look at Michael as if he were a personal hero such as Marlon Brando. Michael, as usual, looked absolutely adorable in his Adidas track pants, white t-shirt and backwards baseball cap. And again, Robin acts manic and bear-hugs Michael. ... The editor and director also compliment Michael's acting because he manages to convey a lot just with his body language and the way he spaces his dialogue (but we knew that already--just look at all his various "Sydney lurrve faces")."

Thanks so much for the report, Virna! ::SB is mondo jealous, as she does not have cable:: By the way, can I nominate myself for "Dofus of the Year"? I just realized I made an arse of myself by saying "if you're at Sundance." Yes, it's true, I thought the documentary was at the film festival, even though I know the film festival isn't even going *on* right now. <g> Me = had no idea Sundance was a channel. (Oh well, you learn something new every day, right?) At any rate, between this and my gaffe regarding Extra, I clearly need to watch more TV. ;)

OHP trailer, site updates
If you missed the afternoon/evening update yesterday, we posted a link to the new (longer, spoilery) OHP trailer, so you can see it here. (It's in streaming Windows Media format.)

Finally for today, Krisa, Vartan Ho #188, of Against Protocol, sent in a new coincidence. I'm telling ya, Alias was just fated. ;)

Have a great Monday! I'm off to find out why it smells like baked chicken so early in the morning...
