Some official business...
Thanx to The Hype Council, and to Whoosh25, from Jennifer Garner Group for the heads-up that coming next Tuesday, September 3rd, you should watch out for a new look and feel to the official ALIAS website.
Also, keep an eye out for the September issue of Complete Woman Magazine. Jennifer will be featured an article about "ass-kicking" women on primetime TV.
Plus, Entertainment Weekly will feature a cover story on Jennifer, which will run in the September Fall Preview Issue. It hits news stands within the next 2 weeks.
That's really great 'n all, but the Vartan Hos have to give a big 'thumb's down' to the lack of Vartan/Vaughn involvement in all of this news. : (

Michael everywhere (like we're complaining?)
First, thanx to an NBC press release we've learned Michael will be on the Today Show on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd.
Second, he will also be on Carson Daly's 'Last Call' on Sept 13th. Ironically, Carson is slated to be a guest on the Today show the same day MV is, and they're taping 'The Last Call' together that day as well. Go figure.
Next up, for those of you that have living under a rock, you're getting another chance: The Mists of Avalon will be airing on Sept. 11th. I'm assuming on TNT, but I can't check. Once we have more details, like time it will be on, we'll let you know.
Just a reminder that if you missed the OHP special on E! last week, you can catch it again this weekend. According to the E!Online website, it will air once again on Sept.1, at 3:30 a.m. Thanx to Debby for the reminder.
Finally, don't forget that Michael is on Friends tonight. The episode 'The One With Chandler In A Box', will be airing in syndication. Check your local listings.
One Hour Photo...around the world!
Thanks to Melli who got the info from a press release from 20th Century Fox, you can now go check out the German OHP website and view the trailer...with Michael's dubbed voice. Hehehe. Read more here.

"Winner of the Emmy for Sexiest Actor in a TV Drama OK, that's not really an Emmy category, but if it did exist, you'd give the gold to The Practice's Dylan McDermott. Last year's winner, Rob Lowe (The West Wing) came in second, followed by Michael Vartan (Alias)."

We added two more reviews. The first is from the Sacramento Bee, the second from The Toronto Star and thanks to Jackie! :)
For everyone who's keeping track: the box office gross-to-date is a whopping $441,188 and that's from only 7 theatres! Pretty amazing!
In still more news, the OHP score finally hit stores and you can see a pic of the cover at Amazon. I'm hearing very positive feedback about this CD and besides, what's better than to relive a MV movie through music? ;)

E!ntertaining Interview
Thanx to Angela for the head's up, VaughnEtc. now has the video clip of Michael's E! interview! You definitely want to check that out asap!
Also, thanx again go to Angela for giving us the scoop on the OHP version search. The VCD version and the theater versions are one in the same. The film critics got the final version with the extra scenes (which from the sound of it, I
would not be terribly fond of). You can read all about it here. We're still getting reports from some folks that have seen the other version in theaters, so my best guess is that this version was sent out to various locations across the country. A fellow NY'er saw the scene, and I didn't. Grrrr! I need to go to a better theater!
Pictures O'Plenty
Lugia has added some more ABC preview weekend pics. Since when do television stars have to be paraded around in cars like Miss America? I felt like I was watching the Thanksgiving day parade. Thanx to mdwed123 at Joey's Pizza Yahoo group, we've found that a 'mission' will begin within the next 48 hours of the ABC webgame! I'm a dunce when it comes to figuring this stuff out. How anyone does is beyond me. But here's what transpired:

Missing One Hour Photo?
Okay, we've heard that there may in fact be 2 versions of the movie playing out there! Thanx to Angela, we've learned that there may be another version with additional scenes [*spoiler*] with Robin in the interrogation room from the very beginning [*end spoiler*] playing in some selected theaters. Now I went to see the movie, and it was the same version as the vcd version that I had downloaded. So if there's another version, which you've seen with your own eyes, please share with us!

General SD-6 operated Hospital
The Alias previews are stretching all the way through ABC soaps. Thanx to AliasKateJones and Susan, we've learned they are playing a the preview-that-shall-not-be-named, a.k.a., the evil triangle themed drama-fest. No matter how much damage-control they try to pull on Will (fixing his hair, stopped letting Ray Charles dress him, stopped playing the 'If I Only Had a Brain' song behind everything he does), we are Vaughn lovers, true and proud. Gussy him up all you want ABC, we aren't buying it! ::begin 'Vaughn' chant::
Strange and Unusual
We've received a small possible casting spoiler, and as happy as I would be because I'm a fan, I'm a bit frightened as well. Check it out here.

More Reviews!
Morning folks! First up is another fancy shmancy OHP review, this one by Roger Ebert. Thanx to Sari for sending that one in.
Have any of you seen it? We want to hear what you thought of it, from a fan of Michael's standpoint! Send us your review! I saw it about a month ago on vcd, and again yesterday at the theater. I loved it!
Speaking of theater, according to the Associated Press, "Fox Searchlight's "One Hour Photo," starring Robin Williams, broke out in
the limited release arena as the drama developed an estimated $315,000 from
seven theaters, averaging a stunning $45,000 per theater -- a record for
the distributor. Helmed by Mark Romanek, "Photo" has taken in about
$354,100 since its Wednesday release. The film expands to about 140
theaters next weekend.'

In related news, OHP got two big "Hot" votes on "Hot Ticket." The reviewers called it
"exceptional," "quietly terrifying" and "unexpectedly compassionate."

Nominations!
Gills on vartanetc posted that Alias was nominated for two fight choreography awards at the American Choreography Awards, to be held in
October. One is for "Truth Be Told" and the other is for "Snowman." Read more about it here.
OHP and TCA
Lugia added some more TCA pics of Michael. You can find them here. She also added some more OHP premiere images here. They have an ugly border around them, but only for displaying purposes to distiguish them from the old. It'll be gone when you save 'em. :-) Most are just thumbnails and two are from Corbis and watermarked, but better than nothin'! :-)
