Site updates
We added two new (and shippy!) wallpapers
to Rambaldi's Studio. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Thanks to the
artist, Gisela, whose site you can visit here.
Also, banana, Vartan Ho #251, sent in a head-scratcher about "The Coup" which
you can read on our bloopers page.
All I can say is that time must not fly when you're an international super-spy.
(If you read that sentence and thought, "Why is she rhyming?" I assure you it was
unintentional.)
UK MV alert
Angela, Vartan Ho #222, sends word that the two episodes of "Ally McBeal" in which
Michael guest-starred are on Channel 4 in the UK on Thursday, August 15 and
Friday, August 16 at 2:25 p.m. Also, The Pallbearer will be
on UK Drama (a channel on Sky Digital) on Wednesday, August 15 at 11:20 p.m.
Thanks for the heads-up, Angela!
Online game
Some of you have written us about the online "Alias" game featured at ABC's
site. While we haven't formally written up any hints or solutions, we can
direct you to a few groups who are discussing the web puzzles. The first is
the Joey's Pizza Yahoo!
Group, and the second is the Aliasgame Yahoo! Group.
We hope this helps!
And with that, I'm calling it a morning. We did want to mention,
though, that the spoiler board link we mentioned yesterday does require that
you be a registered member of the site. Thanks to tvfilm411 for pointing that
out to me since I wasn't doing all my homework yesterday morning! (It was
Saturday, and is Saturday any time for homework?) Have a relaxing Sunday!

Games and marathons
ABC's website has a new interactive "Alias" game up. The best part? You get
Weiss as your handler! Now if only we could get to the bottom of why questions
about Will elicit the most detailed answers...Anyway, you can
pick up the flame
of freedom here.
Also, Corinne sends word that ABC Family will be airing another "Alias" marathon
on September 29, right in time for the season premiere (although hopefully not
overlapping, because that might even be too ridiculous for ABC!). You can
head on over to Alias Online for
the details. Thanks Corinne!
All right, Michael
What gives? According to ABC's website,
all the "Alias" regulars are now scheduled to appear at the Primetime Preview
Weekend except for Michael and Lena Olin. That just doesn't seem right. Unless
he comes up with a valid excuse within the next few days (hockey tournament, perhaps?),
I'm just going to assume ABC is saving the big "Michael attends!" announcement
for a final burst of publicity. Stranger things have happened.
Drink up, all of you people
Sarah, Vartan Ho #370, has been behind the bar concocting three new drinks.
You can find the blueprints in our Happy Hour section.
I appreciate any good mention of Marshall and the Discovery Channel, so I
find these especially exciting.
Miscellaneous site updates
We added a blooper from "The Confession"
courtesy of Vartan Ho #364 and some Dude, Where's My Car?
trivia to coincidences courtesy of Liza. Thanks, guys!
Also, Jennifer sent in an article about the real CIA which you can see
here.
Very interesting read!
And in case you didn't catch them yesterday, there are now some more
episode 3 spoilers.
Also, Lugia added a link to a spoiler message board onto each of the episode
pages so you can all get really, really spoiled. On that note, have a great weekend!

Update: Even more episode 3 spoilers!
This time from Ain't It Cool News. You can check them out on our episode 3 page. :-)
More episode 3 spoilers!
With much appreciation to our source "M," here is some new intel on
episode 3.
Enjoy!
New coincidences
Cowpenguin, Vartan Ho #342, sent us some new coincidences
which are quite amusing. These skills of observation are so impressive (and
foreign) to me!
The Alias Awards
Thanks to all who voted in the Alias Awards this summer! We're honored to
have been chosen as Most Original Site, Runner-Up for Best Site Name, and
Judges' Choice. You can view our awards page here.
We really appreciate everyone who enjoys the site and sent in their votes!
ABC's weekend plans
We'll start with the good news first: you can catch Carl Lumbly in "Oprah
Winfrey Presents The Wedding," airing on ABC Sunday and Monday. Now for the appalling
news: ABC has elected to skip over "Page 47" and "The Prophecy" in its rerun
schedule and move ahead to "Q&A."
This, of course, brings us two steps closer to all the Vartan Hos' most favorite episode,
"Masquerade." Really, ABC. Given the choice between scary Peter Berg in an
even scarier mask and your attractive male lead whispering Vatican sweet
nothings, there really shouldn't be room for debate.
We don't really need to tell you again who's running ABC, do we?
Well, I'm going to sign off before I offend any more Peter Berg fans. :-) TGIF!
Make the most of it!

All good things must come to an end
In this case, it's Souris' fic "Une Nuit," which she has completed. If you're
looking for a great shipper fix, head on over here to read it.
And don't forget--feedback is a beautiful thing!
Top Sites voting
The Alias Top Sites voting is still going on, and you can find the voting link
on our main page at http://www.vartanho.com.
Herewith, a good old-fashioned passive-aggressive plea for votes: Vote for
the Vartan Hos!...you know, if you want to. :-)
Belated birthday greetings
We accidentally sent birthday shout-outs to Carl Lumbly the other day, when it was
in fact Merrin Dungey's birthday. Oops! So, belated birthday wishes to her. We
just got the dates mixed up--multiple August birthdays and such.
It seems to be a pretty slow news day, so that will give you a chance to go and
catch up on your fanfic reading. However, if you missed it yesterday afternoon,
we added some
spoilers for episode 3. Enjoy, and speculate amongst yourselves. As
always...happy Thursday!

Update: First episode 3 spoilers!
Lugia here: we've just added the first spoilers for episode three! Yay! Check 'em out! :-)
Episode 3 has a name
And a spoiler page all its very own. There's not much there now, but if you're
already brushing up on your ep titles, you can find the new one here.
(Or if you're really clever and don't want to risk being spoiled, you can just run
your mouse over the link.) :-)
The return of the Chinese Crested!
Souris and the Fashion Assassin have zeroed in on Doppelganger this week. You can read
the incisive analysis here.
Miscellaneous Fun: Daredevil and Ma Bristow
Lugia has updated the Daredevil page with some news items
about the Elektra costume and the stunt training. And if you want to see Ben
Affleck hanging from a harness, well, this is the place to look.
Also added is an article from the New York Post about Lena Olin joining
the cast. You can read all about it here.
Last but not least on the Lena Olin front, Souris reports that Jennifer Garner was on
Entertainment Tonight last night. She said that the Emmy
nominations were unexpected and exciting, and that she couldn't wait to
work with Lena Olin -- who is "too cool for school."
New collage and Ho List update
Rose sent us a great new collage, which we've added to our Fan Art section
Scroll down and you'll see it at the bottom.
The Ho List is also up-to-date with new members. So if you haven't joined, what
are you waiting for?
Soap Opera Weekly quotes
Apparently the folks from Soap Opera Weekly were making the rounds at TCA
last week along with everyone else. They dropped a little bit of spoilage in this
week's issue which Lugia has divided up nicely for our consumption. First, you can
read about Marshall.
Then, Michael and Bradley had some things to say about the premiere here.
And finally, you can read the whole article in one fell swoop
here.
I apologize for the jumbled nature of this update - maybe it'll be more coherent
tomorrow! Have a nice Wednesday, or as I call it, the absolute longest day of
the week.

If Mama (Hari) ain't happy, ain't nobody happy
First up today is a new article
from SciFiWire about how the addition of Laura Bristow will affect all the other
characters on the show. Thanks to Corinne for sending that one in!
Lots of people were nice enough to tell us about the season 2 trailer, which
is apparently Mom-heavy (she raises and fires her gun, among other things) and Vaughn-light. We sense
another visit from the Monkeys at the ABC promotional department. Thanks to
Jackie, Virna, Sarah, Marie-France, Juanita and Beth for supplying the info!
Jennifer at ABC Preview Weekend
According to ABC's
website, Jennifer Garner will be making an appearance at the ABC Primetime
Preview Weekend after all. Maybe they'll entice a few other cast members to show up as well?
J.J. Speaks
Debby, Vartan Ho #50, sent us a new article in which J.J. talks about "Alias" comic
books and writing the Superman movie. You can read that here.
Thanks Debby!
Ouch
If you're Will, that is. The final poll results on who Sydney should hook up with
are in from SciFiWire,
and it's a landslide.
Vaughn: 70%
Francie: 20%
Will: 10%
Total votes cast: 3702
Well, Francie and Will always have each other.
It's all significant somehow
Connie, Vartan Ho #363, sent in a new coincidence
for Section Disparate. I wonder how many "Alias" fans watched "Significant Others" in
its tiny lifespan and thought, "That girl's going places."
Happy birthday, dear Ca-arl
Finally, today is the birthday of our second favorite of Sydney's partners, Carl
Lumbly. Here's hoping he has a great day!
That's the news for today. Enjoy your Tuesday!

Anybody want spoilers?
Because we're oh-so-happy to supply. New info on Episode 2, "Trust Me," is
here. Many thanks
to our source!
VSR for Doppelganger
Souris has been busy plumbing the romantic psyches of Syd and Vaughn again. To wit, you can
read her VSR Report for Doppelganger here.
Season 2 trailer
I'm told there was a season 2 trailer on last night, but as luck would have it,
I elected for the first time all year not to watch the rerun. Gotta love that broadcast
karma. Anybody else see it who wants to give us a report?
I think that's all for today. I thank you in advance for putting up with me and my
slightly late schedule this week while SB is on vacation, and have a great Monday!
Miss an update? Check the archive!
