New old articles
While checking on the post Emmy nom buzz, Souris came across several older articles from both the Calgary Sun and Toronto Sun. The first one, from 1999, mentions how Michael went from considering a career in pool to being a hockey player who acts ... or something like that. ;) The next one, also from 1999, is a review of Never Been Kissed, which is, of course, the movie where Michael played the English teacher we all wish we'd had.
The next two are Alias articles, the first being Making a name for itself, from 2001, which has some great quotes from JJ Abrams and Victor Garber. The final article, Warrior babe, is more Jennifer-centric, and though it's not much we don't know (it's not a new article, after all), it's still a fun read. :)
Other than that, not much is happening in the Alias world; there's not even a rerun on tonight, so have a relaxing Sunday!

TCA pictures!
There are some gorgeous new pictures of Michael from the TCA tour, along with new pictures of Bradley, Merrin, and Kevin (Marshall). Only the Michael pictures have larger versions, which are watermarked, sadly. But hey, getting new pictures is always a good thing! :)
New quotes, articles
Lugia started a new miscellaneous news page with 3 new items: one is an article snippet from The (N.J.) Star-Ledger, and the other two are new quotes from Jennifer about her Emmy nomination (from the Hollywood Reporter and Variety).
As if that weren't enough, there's a new column from The Seattle Times entitled Auntie Kay in L.A.: The nominees for an Emmy are a tribute to anti-comfort TV .
New poll
Hie yourself over to E! Online and vote for Jennifer as Favorite Female Butt-Kicker. (That is, if the poll is still up. At the time of this update, it was, but sometimes the internet likes to play tricks on me.)
Have a Michael-icious Saturday!
(Yes I have had too much sugar today. What about it? ;)

Mists of Avalon
As many of you already know (judging by the emails we received!), the miniseries Mists of Avalon, in which Michael played Lancelot, was nominated for quite a few Emmys. Being that I was half asleep, this was not mentioned in yesterday's update. So, to atone ;), here's the list of Emmys that Mists was nominated for (thanks to TVFilm 411 for compiling the list for me!):
*Outstanding MiniSeries
*Outstanding Music Composition For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special (Dramatic Underscore)
*Outstanding Makeup For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special (Non-Prosthetic)
*Outstanding Hairstyling For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special
*Outstanding Costumes For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special
*Outstanding Cinematography For A Miniseries Or Movie
*Outstanding Art Direction For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special
*Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Miniseries -- Joan Allen as Morgause, Anjelica Huston as Viviane
Additionally, if you desire, you can check out the competition for both Mists and Alias.
Emmy articles
First, there were the pre-nomination predictions. Now, the post-nom predictions. From Zap2it, an article entitled, Freshman Shows Get 'A's from Emmys.
On the miscellaneous news page there are three new items: the first is Marc Berman's Emmy picks; the second is a little number crunching by Souris that demonstrates just how grateful the alphabet network should be to Alias; the third, from the Hollywood Reporter, reflects on a new trend in voting (that will hopefully help secure some statues for our show a few months from now!).
Site news
Souris made the latest observation to be added to our coincidences section, and I wonder ... do they do these on purpose now??
The Hos at the Safe House would like to give everyone the heads up that the next month/month and a half are going to result in differences in how the site is run. Don't worry, it's nothing permanent, but it *is* vacation time, so that means some Hos will be missing. Whoever isn't MIA at a given time will be doing her part to assist with the added responsibilities, but this may mean some sections don't get updated quite as often as they usually do (which is pretty often). We would like to ask your patience if we're a little slow on the up keep. Thanks, and have a fantastic Friday! In fact, why not go see Road to Perdition, if only to catch the trailer for One Hour Photo! :)

Recap from yesterday: season 2 spoilers and OHP
In case you missed the updates yesterday, there are some *huge* season 2 spoilers! All standard warnings/cautions apply, so read at your own risk. :)
Kate also updated the list of cities that One Hour Photo will be shown in, which you can check here. You may want to double check the list, because while some cities were added to the original list, some were also removed. And if your city isn't on the list, now's the time to start planning your trip to the nearest OHP showing. ;)
New project for VG
As we mentioned before, Victor Garber will be appearing in ABC's made-for-TV version of "The Music Man." If you're so inclined, you can check out the press release for the project.
Alias screen savers
Because we just can't get enough of Alias, ABC has released screen savers and wallpaper for both PCs and Macs. We've got more details on this page, as well as a link to where you can download these goodies. (Or you could just go here to download right now, but where's the adventure in that?!)
Finally for today, Kate's just finished off the 7th page of the music wish list. And for the slideshow/music video inclined, these songs are great suggestions ... hint hint. ;) ;) Have a great Thursday!

Breaking news! 7pm
Kate, Vartan Ho#1 here letting everyone know we've got major spoilers for season 2 up on the Season 2 Spoilers page! Please take into account disclaimers and common sense! Enjoy folks, and special thanx to our sources!
One Hour Photo locations
For those that have been unaware, One Hour Photo will only be shown in limited release. And now that everyone is up-to-date on that little tidbit ;), you can find out if your city, or one near you, will be showing OHP by checking out the list on the spoilers page. May I mention how happy I am that I'll be moving to a city that's actually on the list? :)
At the time of update, the list on the spoilers page was not the most up-to-date listing of cities where OHP will be shown. If you don't see your city, this could be why. :) Here's how you can tell: if San Luis Obispo, CA is listed, then it's complete. If it's *not* on the list, then check back later. :)
Australian Hos: OHP heads-up!
Courtesy of the vartan_divine Yahoo! group. If there are any Hos in the Brisbane, Queensland, Australia area, One Hour Photo will be shown on Saturday, 20 July at Regent Theatre 3, Hoyts Regent, Queen Street Mall at 9.30pm -- that's *this* Saturday. It's being shown as part of the Brisbane International Film Festival and is for that night only. And, of course, since the movie is rated R, no one under 18 will be admitted (whether or not IDs are checked in Australia, I couldn't tell you, but I suppose it's best to be on the safe side, right?).
Alias in TV critics' poll
Alias was picked the 12th best show on TV in the critics poll for spring/summer 2002, according to Electronic Media Online. You can read the small bit about the show on our miscellaneous news page, since all it got was a mention in a *long* article.
New collage
Actually, two versions of the same collage done by Rose. These are fabulous! You can check out more of her great work at her website. :)
One more day 'til the Emmy noms, so I'd better sleep all day in order to get up *early* tomorrow morning! Have a great Wednesday. :)

One Hour photos!
The official site for One Hour Photo went live yesterday, and we've got TONS of pictures for you, obviously including Michael pics! Yay!
Reminder to UK fans-- IHTBY
(Thanks to Hugefan16, Vartan Ho #279, for the original heads-up.) "It Had to be You" is on Sky Movies M2 *today* at 12. Apparently this has been hard to find at video stores in the UK, so this should be a great chance to catch one of Michael's films. :)
More Emmy predictions
I'm beginning to feel like the Psychic Friends Network here. ;) Anyway, from Zap2it comes the latest Emmy speculation, TV Gal Plays Emmy Voter. And of course, the Emmy noms will be announced on Thursday morning, at which time we'll update with the pertinent info.
Spy lingo
The International Spy Museum's website has an interesting page on spy lingo. For instance, MI-6, where James Bond worked, is the British foreign intelligence service --- and not to be confused with SD-6 (or SD-9 for that matter)! My favorite term? That would be a toss-up between "raven," which is a "male agent employed to seduce people for intelligence purposes," and "handler;" and I think we all know what that is!
Have a great Tuesday. :)

Fan creatives
Jori, Vartan Ho #132, sent in a cool variation she made on the promo of Syd with red hair from last year that you can see here. :)
If you like music videos, there are two you might be interested in downloading. The first is from the website angst n romance, and the link to the video is at the bottom of the page. The second is not exactly an Alias vid, but features Sydney, and is called Women Who Kick Ass. Enjoy those! And, of course, we'd love to see any other Alias videos out there!
Run by monkeys
<Sigh> As demonstrated by the fact that ABC *once again* split up the airing of parts 1 and 2 of The Box, the Hos still firmly believe that the American Banana, er, Broadcasting Company remains run by monkeys.
Don't let that ruin your day, though; have a fabulous Monday!
Miss an update? Check the archive!
