Movie news
Kate's added a small bit about One Hour Photo to the appropriate spoiler page. Less than two months to go; let's hope Michael hits the talk show circuit soon! She's also added some spoilers to the Daredevil page, as well as a link to the article from yesterday (which we've archived here). I finally saw the Daredevil preview yesterday when I saw Minority Report, and I'm more excited than ever!
Esquire scans
Souris finally got her hands on a copy of Esquire, so we've got our own scans now! Yay! :) (We may be more excited than anyone else about this. <g>)
Rerun tonight, new message board, and query
Don't forget tonight's rerun of Alias, The Confession.
Message board junkies, there's a new one to take a look at, run by Gennie of Alias Junkie, which you can visit here. That reminds me, we're constantly adding sites to the alliance, so you can always check that out to see what else is out on the web.
Finally, there've been a few reports of this site not loading and appearing only as code ... we'd appreciate anyone who's experienced this letting us know if you haven't done so already, so that we can take a look and see whether it's just a glitch or a serious problem. New articles
Amanda, Vartan Ho #126, sent us the heads-up about two articles from EW. The first one, entitled
Award to the Wise, is in reference to the Emmy's.
The second is about Daredevil, called
Flying Blind; that's a link straight to EW's site, because we haven't yet archived it. The link
should open a new window.
New Ho button
This is definitely the funniest Ho button I've ever seen! Krisa of
Against Protocol made our newest Ho button, which you can see

TGIF!
(Note: we decided to keep the 4th motif up through the weekend in honor of the long and difficult war that was fought for our independence.)
Hope everyone had a great July 4th! What could be better than a holiday on a Thursday, providing for a four day weekend?? (A five day weekend with Agent Vaughn, but who asked?) There are quite a few articles today, Emmy info, rental info, and another blooper. So, without further ado ...
Sand available to rent in Canada
That's the gist of it. <g> According to Lucy2point0, Vartan Ho #115, one of Michael's movies, Sand, is now available to rent and buy at Rogers Video in Canada! You can get more information about that at their website.
New blooper found
Kate's added the newest blooper, noticed by Val, Vartan Ho # 261, to the Section Disparate. A season from now we're going to have to take a vote as to whether these bloopers are a) more glaring, b) less glaring, or c) just as glaring as some of the more famous bloopers that occurred on The X-Files. Why that show? Issues, people, issues. ::curls up in fetal position and whimpers:: ::realizes she has to finish the update and gets up:: Anyway, go check out that blooper!
A slew of Jen articles

On the other end of the spectrum, from HairBoutique.com, is the article entitled Jennifer Garner Kicks Hair Butt. It's from March, so some of you may've seen it before.
Finally (not really) is this article from Homestore.com, about Jen's predilection for interior design. Once again, thanks to Jackie for the heads-up on these!
More Access Hollywood coverage
Lugia added all the Access Hollywood info that was sent in to us to the miscellaneous news
page. Thanks to everyone who emailed us! Actually, I think there's info from one person missing, which I apologize for, but my email picked today to go haywire and delete everything in my inbox after lulling me into a five minute sense of security. So, you can resend that info, or not, but my apologies!
Emmy predictions
The Emmy's are still several months away, but that doesn't prevent the critics from making their predictions. This particular one is just an excerpt, talking about Jen and Alias, from a longer article.

"The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America," known as the Declaration of Independence, was signed by 56 men, and thus began the American Revolution.
226 years later, here we are. The women of The Safe House would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day. :) We'd also like to take this opportunity to link to the New York State World Trade Center Relief Fund, which has done lots of work for the surrounding communities of the World Trade Center. You can make a donation by mail, phone, person, or internet. There's also a link from the page to LibertyUnites.org, which collects donations for multiple charities that have been helping in the relief effort.

One Hour Photo, Daredevil
Mel TM added Variety's review of One Hour Photo to the archives. It's actually from January, but I hadn't seen it, and maybe I'm not the only one. Nice read.
Lugia also added Zap2it's article, "Ben Affleck Is Blind in 'Daredevil'," which MeLaNiE, Vartan Ho #96 sent in. (Speaking of Ben, if you caught him on Leno last night you probably realized it was a rerun; sorry about that if you'd already seen it!) There's also a new image on the Daredevil spoilers page.
Alias promotion!
MeLaNiE also recounted for us her encounter with Alias promotion while in New York, which you can read on our miscellaneous news page. Sounds *so* cool! Maybe ABC is learning??

Esquire update
Quite the saga this has become! (Or not.) Esquire's
website finally updated to show the August issue, and although we
still haven't
been able to get our hands on the magazine, they list MV's pics in the
table of contents
as follows:
"Esquire's fall style preview: Michael Vartan of Alias showcases
the
themes of the new season, from pinstripe vests that hark back to the
last century to soft, tailored clothing that continues the move
toward casual comfort (Six for the Season, page 84)."
In this same issue, writer Tom Carson says, "In the new One Hour Photo,
Robin Williams
plays his third bad guy in a row. If his past is any hint, it won't be his
last.
Unfortunately for us." I believe this is on page 66. Make of this what you
will.

Jen on "Dinner for
Five"
Lugia's archived the
press release for "Dinner for Five," which begins its new
season in the "first quarter" of 2003. Jennifer is going to be a guest on
the premiere, as are fellow Daredevil costars Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell,
and Kevin Smith, among others.
Speaking of Daredevil, don't forget that Ben Affleck is on Leno tonight!
With any luck we'll get some good Jen or movie tidbits. Leno airs on NBC
at 11:30 pm (10:30 Central).
The search for
Esquire
Kate scoped out newsstands in her area, as I did mine, to no avail, and
we've yet to hear from anyone that has a copy of the latest issue.
Therefore, the search continues.
Jen on Access
Hollywood
Apparently Jennifer was on Access Hollywood last night, but as none of us
'Hos managed to catch it (I'm not even convinced Access Hollywood airs
around here!), we're not quite sure what was mentioned. Let us know if you saw
it and if there was anything interesting mentioned. Thanks! :)
Is it September
yet??
It's been a rather slow news week, and it's just far enough into the
hiatus that we're drooling for some new season spoilers. But we don't have
any. So in lieu of reading about ABC's plans to promote the Syd/Vaughn
angle in their new promos*, you can vote for this site! It's a new month,
which means the topsite lists have been reset (in case you were
wondering). You can vote for The Safe House in the Alias
Top 50 and the Top
Alias Websites. And thanks for continuing to visit and

Happy July!
2002 is half over, and while The Safe House has only been around for just
over 2 months of that time, the Vartan Hos have been working together much
longer. It occurred to us that perhaps you might like to see how this
whole idea got started and what some of the site design ideas we went
through were. To that end, we've added a little history of the site for your reading
pleasure. :)
MV in Esquire
So far we've yet to hear any first-hand accounts of what's in the
magazine, but as soon as we can track down "what's up," we'll pass it on!

Vartan Hos' Question of
the Moment:
In last night's rerun of "Spirit," it came to the attention of several Hos
that Sydney waited quite some time before opening the present that Vaughn
gave her for Christmas. Now, while it's possible that Syd waited until
December 25th to open it in honor of tradition or whatnot (and that calls
to our attention the utter suckiness of being called into work on a
holiday), I can't be the only person who'd break the rules and open the
gift early if it was from a man as intelligent and good looking as Vaughn!
