Whole lotta miscellany
So appropriately enough, there are two additions to the miscellaneous news page. They would be Marifel's recap of Comic-Con, which is completely cool and we're all insanely jealous and if anyone snuck in with a camcorder and taped that-which-will-have-VSR-fans-reeling let us know! (inhale), and Michael's quote about his tattoo in People. Thanks to all who sent that in!
Charlie was kind enough to point out to us that the reason some of us had problems finding the clip of Michael on ET at vartanetc was because of a bad link. In case you were too busy/lazy (the latter would be me) to play "Where's Michael?," here's the proper link. You need to have RealPlayer to see this.
New Hos have been added to the List, as they routinely are. :) However, there may be a delay in the next few days as our vacations overlap.
There are also some new images from the TCA parties, which you can search for on wireimage if this link doesn't work for you-- it should lead to 5 pictures of Michael at the event. Theoretically, here are the links to pictures of Merrin Dungey, Bradley Cooper, and Kevin Weisman, but like I said, they may not work. Your best bet may just be to run a search.
And finally for today (I think?), I'm going to say we've got spoilers for episode 2 coming your way soon! In the absense of Kate, one of our spoiler gurus, things are taking a bit longer, but they'll be here soon! :)
Have a great Sunday (remember, VSR-filled 'The Coup' is on tonight)!

ABC Primetime Preview event
Sadly, neither Michael nor Jennifer will be at the Primetime Preview at California Adventure, but there will be a host of other Alias stars! Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin, David Anders, Kevin Weisman, and Merrin Dungey are all scheduled to appear; you can get more info at ABC's website.
Alias comic book
It's true: Blake, from SD-6.com, posted this link on his boards. It will probably launch in December, and J.J. is behind the project. Won't it be interesting to see how this translates? Would the comic refer to the series, the series to the comic? And can Alias novels be far behind?
The Prince and the Premiere
The first of several articles for today is one that many of you have probably seen already, judging by the number of people who sent it in to us-- and thanks to *everyone* for doing so! :) Anyhow, the article is about ABC's continuing promotional blitz, namely how they plan to use the future King of England to boost ratings for the season premiere of Alias. Of course, this makes me wonder, do you think Prince William would be/is a fan of the show??
The next one, thanks to Whoosh at the Jennifer Garner Yahoo Group, is a review of Alias in Stuff magazine, which the nitpicking Vartan Hos would like better if they'd correctly spell "Sydney." And thirdly, E!'s Wanda is back from the TCA parties with Alias anecdotes.
JG in poll; Comic-con?
Jennifer is up for favorite bride (whaa?) in E!'s latest poll. Who knows; just vote for her, I guess. ;)
The Alias session at the comic-con in San Diego was yesterday, so we're wondering if anyone went. Tell us how it went, if you did!
Two final notes for today: one, I'm headed out of town, so we'd appreciate it if all news items are sent directly to thesafehouse@vartanho.com instead of me. Thanks! And secondly, we'd like to wish a Happy Birthday to Spygirl!! :)
Have a great Saturday, all.

Movie updates
Kate's added the Australian release dates for Daredevil and One Hour Photo, thanks to Jenny. :)
You can find them on the Daredevil page
and the OHP page, appropriately enough. Also, some new Victor Garber pictures and the trailer for Tuck Everlasting have been added to the movie's page. Victor's not in the trailer, but it's not bad, regardless. :)
MV on ET
Head on over to vartanetc, because Lori has up the clip of Michael on Entertainment Tonight! We know it's up somewhere, but some of us have had some trouble locating it; I guess just think of it as a "Where's Michael?" puzzle. ;)
Alias trading cards!
Thanks to Gills at vartanetc boards for the heads-up about this! You can get plenty of info about the upcoming trading cards at this site. They're due out in time for Christmas (coincidence? I think not!); guess I'm going to have to start my wish list early this year!
OHP fan review
Thanks to Xenoi at the Michael Vartan Yahoo Group, who saw a screening of OHP, we have our first fan review in the archives. As Kate says, fan reviews are good because they appreciate the Vartaniness of it moreso than the mainstream press. :)
Once again, I'd just like to remind everyone that several Hos are still rotating who's around or not, so if things are out of order/delayed/etc., that's probably why (or we just got distracted by Michael again). Thanks again for the patience while we play musical vacations, and have a wonderful Friday!

ABC's Primetime Preview
According to ABC's website, there's an Alias session scheduled in the Primetime Preview at 2 pm on August 25th. The events are being held at California Adventure at Disneyland, and you can get more info at the website above.
JG article
Mel TM added an article mostly centered on Jennifer (and presumably resulting from the premiere of Alias in New Zealand) that you can read here. Thanks to the Jennifer Garner Yahoo Group for this one!
That would be it for today; happy August! (Although if you're like me, you'd rather it stayed July for at least another month.)

Rerun schedule
ABC has pulled the rerun of Page 47 scheduled for Aug. 11 and will air a movie, "Oprah Winfrey Presents: The Wedding," instead. I'd rather watch Page 47, but I'm not in charge, so what are ya gonna do? ;)
David Anders, Elektra articles
Thanks to dramaqueen at the vartanetc boards for the heads-up on this new David Anders article. (I'd give a hint as to what it's about if my internet access was working, but as it is, I'm barely getting pages for the site uploaded. Three more weeks, then I'll be in the bliss of high-speed access...)
So, in that same vein, here's an Elektra article that I have no way of reading to brief you on what it covers. I know, how can I do an update if I can't get online? Best not to question the way the internet gods work. Oh, and while I'm on the subject, if you missed yesterday's late update, there *was* one, so you can check that out. And thanks to Kate for covering for me while I was entirely disconnected.
Now back to your regularly scheduled update:
Scottish Hos: One Hour Photo
Frances discovered where One Hour Photo will be playing at another festival and kindly passed it on. :) The Edinburgh International Film Festival, which starts on August 14th, will show OHP "at the following times:
Wednesday, 21st Aug. at Filmhouse 1 and Saturday 24th Aug. at UGC 7, both at 21.30. Tickets are £7.00, but if you get the September 2002 copy of Empire, there's a 2-for-1 voucher on advanced bookings before 11th August." You can access the festival's website here.
TV Guide Poll Results
Results are in for the TV Guide Readers' Poll! Jennifer took the title of Sexiest Female Star with a whopping 48%, and Michael came in second with 27% for Sexiest Male Star to Eddie Cibrian's 45% (he's on Third Watch). The full results, thanks to Kristina, Vartan Ho #134, are as follows:
Sexiest Female Star
Jennifer Garner, Alias (48%)
Jeri Ryan, Boston Public (28%)
Kristin Kreuk, Smallville (19%)
Jennifer Aniston, Friends (3%)
Sexiest Male Star
Eddie Cibrian, Third Watch (45%)
Michael Vartan, Alias (27%)
Simon Baker, The Guardian (20%)
James Marsters, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (4%)
Site updates, Alias mention
Kate's added a new coincidence, thanks to Brittan, Vartan Ho #55, and a new blooper, which she spotted. :) I've also added a bunch of new Hos to the Ho List.
A different Vartan Ho named Kristina, #207, sent in this little tidbit that made her, and us, smile. :) As she reports, "While I was watching NBC's Dog Eat Dog, the very strange game show with crazy stunts, there was a trivia question about Alias. The contestant was running on a suspended treadmill answering trivia questions and was asked this one. It was something like, 'Starring Jennifer Garner, what ABC drama' and then the guy screamed, 'Alias!' He didn't even need the rest of the question! Looks like Cutter (the contestant) knows his good television shows. ;) "
On that note, have a great Wednesday!

A few new spoilers!
Check out the Episode 2 spoiler page for some details into the episode. Thanx to our sources as always : )
9 out of 10 Hos agree--we've seen much worse hair
People magazine has named Jen Garner one of the 'Worst Hair of 2002' recipients. Read the full article here. The Hos agree that if you're gonna pick on anyone from Alias, Bradley should come first! Thanx to Against Protocol for the heads up!
Access Michael
Thanx to Jacquie,Vartan Ho #10, we've got a quick recap of Michael's appearance on Access Hollywood.
"He was gorgeous! He was basically just talking about how great
Robin Williams is in One Hour Photo. He was wearing this nice
blue shirt and smiling a lot. Very adorable! They also showed
clips of him in the movie with the slightly shaggy hair. It was a
nice surprise! I am sure someone will have pictures and clips
soon."
Elektra-fying Intro
Thanx to Whoosh from the JenniferGarnerGroup, we've learned that "The Official Daredevil site has updated with a new flash
opening featuring Elektra. The intro is set to random so sometimes you'll get Daredevil and sometimes Elektra, just keep refreshing the page until you see it." Thanx Whoosh!
One Hour Photo News
From seiko at Vartanetc. boards:
"Anatomy of a Scene: One Hour Photo" will be on Sundance Channel
August 18th at 7:30PM, 22nd at 8:30PM and 27th at 10:30PM(ET)

UK Hos: MV, BC movies
Thanks to Frances (and bradley-cooper.com) for the heads-up on this! Both One Hour Photo and Bradley's film, My Little Eye, will be playing at the Lupo Frightfest 2002 Film Festival in London's Leicester Square on Saturday, August 24th. Tickets and other information are available at the Festival's website. This definitely sounds cool, so if you live close enough, or just have a lot of money for globetrotting, you may want to check it out. :)
Syd/??? relationship?
SciFi.com currently has a poll asking who you'd rather see hook up with Sydney, romantically speaking. The choices are Vaughn (yay VSR!), Will, and a third option that you'll just have to go look to see because I don't want to ruin the surprise. ;) So go vote!!
Site updates
The Ho List is currently up to 350, and as with our little tradition, we want to give a shout-out to Ho #350, Lauren! :) The list is pretty regularly updated, even if it's not mentioned on this page, so if you submit your name, it should be up in the next 24 hours.
Souris has finally finished another fanfic, Awakenings, which is a post-ATY reunion fic. Yay! Definitely head over to the fanfic section and read it. Additionally, there are quite a few new wallpapers from Totally_Alias, so you can check those out, too!
Have a lovely Monday!
