Could it be? Yes, another Alias game!
According to Whoosh25 at the Jennifer Garner Yahoo! Group, ABC's Alias site has updated with a new game, Alias Underground. Apparently you need to register before you can play, and you'll be entered in a contest to win a car (and if you already have a user name from any ABC msg board, you can use it). Be warned, the file size is 34 MB. For those using a download manager, the direct link to the .exe file is here. Windows NT is not supported. Check out the OS for further system details.
JG as Elektra cover
idolsmasher_99 from Alias ABC TV Online reports that Jennifer, as Elektra, will be on a cover of Wizard that should hit stands in one in a half to two and a half months. (Wizard is "like the Wall Street Journal for comic readers and buyers.") The cover, which features Ben Affleck as Daredevil with Jennifer in front of him, *might* be collectible (*might*).
Can't get enough of that great MV/JG pic in EW?
Neither can we, and apparently, neither could Gennie of Alias Junkie, because she made it into a wallpaper, which you can see here. Thanks Gennie! (Funny, am I the only one who thinks it looks more like "Syd" is handling "Vaughn" than the other way around??)
Alias in the UK
For those in the UK, don't forget that Alias will be on terrestrial TV (channel 4) in mid-September, as reported in Empire magazine. Thanks to mojo for the reminder and for keeping an eye out! :)
That's really it for today (there's not even an Alias rerun on tonight!), so you could always browse through the articles archive. Or, you know, just keep drooling over those EW pictures. :)

EW repost
In case you missed the fun last night, the fall TV preview issue of Entertainment Weekly
features Jennifer on the cover and some "Yowza!" pics of both Jennifer and Michael inside.
You can view both the full article or
just the pics. Either way, we
feel you will be pleased!
And if that weren't enough, SB had a fit of genius and manipulated the solo Michael
pic. You can see that here.
Would the ad agency be reading this by any chance, because I'm thinking that's a winner.
And other magazines!
Jennifer has been on everyone's minds lately, apparently. The Jennifer Garner group
reports that she will be featured in Esquire's "Women We Love" issue as well as in the
Australian magazine Good Medicine. As an aside, if a bunch of magazines wanted to start
competing to see who could produce the best photo/interview with Michael, we would
really be on board with that.
Emmy gossip
This is from Marc Berman's Programming Insider column on Mediaweek.com:
"In honor of the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards the International Radio &
Television Society (IRTS) has teamed up with award-predictions website
GoldDerby.com for a look at who might win the Emmy gold this year. In a
panel on Tuesday, Sept. 17 (five days prior to the Emmys) at HBO's New
Media Center at 1100 Avenue of the Americas in New York, GoldDerby.com
host and author extraordinaire Tom O'Neil (www.goldderby.com), Dave Bauder
(Associated Press), Peter Castro (People), Tom Conroy (US Weekly), Matt
Roush (TV Guide), Ken Tucker (Entertainment Weekly) and Diane Werts
(Newsday) will give their picks for the upcoming race."
Sounds like fun! Hopefully we'll have those picks for you when they materialize.
And other awards!
I seem to be following an over-excited pattern here this morning. Alias has been
nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography for "Truth Be Told" and "Snowman" at the American Choreography Awards.
In a fight, I think "Truth Be Told" would win. You can insert your own obvious
choreography joke here.
Action!Vaughn strikes again
SB has also done some more grueling research and come up with the Action!Vaughn for Q&A.
In keeping with the Action!Vaughn spirit, run, jump, and topple others over on your
way to reading it!
Miscellaneous
To wind things up this morning, we have another One Hour Photo review that you can
see at the OHP message boards.
Thanks Angela! And Christine sends word of this 30 Most Beautiful Men site
of which Michael is most certainly a part. Looks like they're Buffy fans over at this
site as well. Anyway, it's definitely worth a look. Thanks Christine!
This should keep you occupied. :-) Have a great Saturday!

Update: New MV pics & EW article!
Jennifer's on the cover of the brand new Fall TV Preview issue of Entertainment Weekly (September 13th) and there are truly thud-worthy new pics included! One's of her with Michael and very shippy and the other is of Michael alone! Hot! Check them out here and be sure to bring the drool bucket!! ;) And then head over to read the article, transcription courtesy of Alias246, Vartan Ho #112. Thanks so much for sending it in! :)
Wanna see that all-Vaughn trailer?
Of course you do! Otherwise we'd all wonder about you. So you can head on over
to Vaughnetc. and watch it.
And if you don't have an ear-to-ear grin on your face after you see it, well...we'll, uh,
wonder about you some more.
Springing into Action
"Action!Vaughn," that is. SB has debuted her tribute to our favorite handler and that
running, jumping voodoo that he does so well. (That voodoo phrase really only works in
conjunction with the word "you," doesn't it? Well, I guess we've all learned a valuable lesson.)
And now it's time for everyone to run over and check out SB's Action!Vaughn for "Rendezvous."
Now we all have something else to look forward to with the new episodes.
More OHP reviews than you can shake a stick at
TwinnerA found a page with 89 One Hour Photo reviews,, so if
you feel like reading all about OHP, we couldn't point you to a better place. Thanks for
the sleuthing!
Emmy updates
Zap2it reports that Jennifer Garner will be presenting at the Primetime Emmys on Sept.
22. You can read that news bit here.
Also, we added an old bit about Jennifer presenting at the Creative Emmys,
which will occur Sept. 14. And if you want that full list of nominations, we have that too.
Head on over here. Lots and
lots of award show fun.
It's tough to accessorize
But not usually this tough. Lindie, Vartan Ho #426, noticed an extended
error in "Almost Thirty Years" dealing with Syd's demon handbag.
I wish my purses were that versatile. Lindie also spotted some fire extinguisher continuity
issues in the same episode, and you can see those on the same page. Thanks Lindie!
And with that, I leave you with four simple words: T. G. I. F!

The One Hour Photo fun continues
We've got more One Hour Photo items for your consumption this morning (or afternoon, if for some
reason you're not checking the site before breakfast). :-) First up are a couple of reviews
from Ain't It Cool News. This one's
about the work print of the movie, and this one
is the follow-up review of the final version of the film.
And Angela sent in another difference
she spotted. You can spot it too by scrolling down to the "digital camera" heading. Thanks Angela!
You're never too famous to be a Vartan Ho
Corinne sent us this heads-up about a gratuitous Michael mention at E! Online
by lifestyle guru Katie Brown. You can read the blurb here.
Corinne's wondering if Katie's crush stems from her appearance on Good Morning America the same
day as Michael's. I'm wondering if there's a female form of the word "guru." Anyway, thanks,
Corinne!
Paper your walls (screens) with Michael
Bulletproof, Vartan Ho #57, of paranoia.politician.diva
sent in two lovely new wallpapers, which you can see here.
Thanks so much for sharing your muse!
Well, if it was just a pool, I'm not worried
Ovrdedge at the Television Without Pity boards
sends word that Alias is featured in the October/November issue of Cinefantastique. The focus is on
behind-the-scenes things like stunts and special effects. Here's an excerpt:
J.J. Abrams on the water sequence in "Almost Thirty Years" (finale): "We
had one fairly small hallway at the Ink and Paint building in Disney. We
shot everything in one direction. They made a miniature of that hallway and
we had 800 gallons of water. Once they let that water go, the whole
miniature broke. We had only one shot of the water going down the hallway.
So every shot that you see is that same shot, with different parts of the
shot repeated, or the whole shot was flopped over and/or blown over...That
last shot of Vaughn at the window was accomplished by taking a door and
putting it on top of a pool, so that Vaughn was actually underwater looking
up."
Which Alias character are you?
Leslie, Vartan Ho #362, sent us this nifty-keen little quiz that lets us determine
how we'd fare in the Alias-verse. As it turns out, I have much in common with Vaughn...and I didn't even rig it! Hee.
I'll run along now, but if you're curious about Michael's upcoming appearance on Last Call with
Carson Daly, there's some fun discussion over at the Vartanetc. boards
and the SD-6 boards
from the lucky people who went to the taping. And now that it's Thursday, I can officially
move from my American Idol obsession (Yay Kelly!) into being 100% excited about Alias.
(I know, I know...bad girls promote other shows on the Alias-themed website. Forgive me?) Have a great one!

We've got rhythm, we've got music...
We've got promo pics, who could ask for anything more? :-) (So I like to begin my mornings with
a song. It never hurts to kick off the day musically.) So in case you missed it
yesterday, we have 11 new promo pics
from episode 2, including one Vaughn pic that has made collective goo out of every
Vartan Ho I've spoken with. Do yourself a favor and check those out!
Clips from MV Publicity Day
The ever-wonderful Vaughnetc. has clips up
from MV's appearances on The Today Show and The View yesterday. This is a fact
that's making me wish I didn't have to leave for school like *rightnow.* But you guys can
run over and enjoy them!
J.J. drops some hints
But they're kind of spoilery hints, so if you love that element of surprise you can just mosey on along. This
week's Returning Favorites issue of TV Guide of course has a bit about "Alias," and
'M' was nice enough to type it out and send it our way, and TwinnerA sent us the scan. Thanks so much, you guys!
In looks like in today's case, slow news is good news, so everyone have a great
day! I plan to do so as well, if I can just put a lid on the puns. I've been told
they're occasionally off-putting.

MV Promotional Day!
Michael is slated to be on both the Today Show and The View this morning. So set those VCRs!
Mailing Us
We want to thank everyone who sends in e-mail about our site, or with news or questions. We appreciate the community involvement greatly, and please continue to do so! But we want to let everyone know that we have to get very strict about what mail we open. We have been getting mass spam and quite a few viruses in our personal and Safe House mails. So to be safe, we are deleting any and all e-mail that has 1, no header, and 2, a non-Alias or site related header. Please be sure to very clearly state an Alias or site related question header, et al., or else it will be deleted right away. We don't want to take any chances. We answer all of our mail, so if you do not receive a response within a week after you sent the mail...this is the reason. Thank you all for your cooperation!
Ask and we shall receive...
Thanx to Jada Lynne, Vartan Ho #102, Silly, Vartan Ho #35, and Leslie, Vartan Ho #367 for the recaps of the Vaughn-centric promo that aired last night. ::Kate: still angry she missed it::
The gist of what went on...minor spoilers...is that Michael, Vartan, not Vaughn, is sitting in a chair in a warehouse answering questions about his character while clips old and new play over it. He says something to the effect of 'Obviously, I love my character. I get to wear lots of cool suits.' There is a shot of him in a suit, and a couple of Sydney. He talks about how much he loves the show, I believe, he's says "Alias is it?" he joked [snip]. There are some shots of Sydney's different outfits, and he says "I have to say the French maid uniform was pretty damn...appealing." [...] He then says something to the effect of "The fate of Vaughn is kind of the big cliffhanger, because no one knows whether he is coming back or not. I just hope he's a good swimmer."
[snipped]The last clip in the promo is a shot of him in the chair laughing, looking adorable, and going "What was the question [laughs]?" and then it goes to the black screen with the glowing "Alias" and says, 'Alias premieres September 29th.'
Michael Vartan ...
Thanx to Legal Alien from the Haven Boards, who wrote, "I just watched Box Office on Musique Plus and there was an interview in french with Michael Vartan in which he offered Montrealers to hire him to come work here."
So I'm moving to Montreal tomorrow. I have a...position for Michael to fill. Hehehehee. If anyone can find a clip of this and send it in, we'd sure be greatful! Ahhh Michael speaking french.::Kate goes off to watch 'The Solution' and drool::
Weekend Box Office Stunner
Thanks to Yahoo and The Associated Press, we've learned, "Robin Williams' stalking thriller "One Hour Photo" was No. 10 with $3.33 million, expanding to 164 theaters after debuting at seven cinemas a week earlier. "One Hour Photo" averaged a whopping $20,274 a theater and goes into nationwide release Sept. 13." Congrat's to them all!
Finally, good luck to everyone going back to school today (like me!). Try not to think of it as grueling schoolwork; think of it as getting closer to new Alias episodes!

Happy Labor Day!
Since school is starting this week, we thought we'd get you started with a little lesson. Go read about the history of Labor Day, and what it should mean for all Americans. We give thanks for all of the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
Lord tell it on the mountains!
It looks like ABC has finally heard the Vartan Ho cries! There was a Vaughn-centric promo last night! We're all hoping someone taped it. Let us know if you've got it, or send us a recap!
Play that funky music, Vartan Ho...
We've added some new songs to The Wishlist that you should check out. This will probably be the last week to view the music section in its original format. We'll be updating it next week with a brand new design! So if you want to see your picks on the top of the Season 2 list, send them in today!
MV and OHP stuff
Many, many thanx to Corinne for sending the following in: "Touch Me will be airing on the Lifetime Movie Network September 11th and 12th. [...] Looks like [One Hour Photo] has cracked the top ten and they're predicting it'll have made close to $3 million or so by this weekend when the dust settles on Sunday w/only 100-something theatres, wow! [...] For more info, just check Box Office Report or Box Office Mojo by Sunday evening."
Run monkey! Run!
We haven't visited the section in a while, so go check out Run By Monkeys. Have you noticed any Monkey moments in the Alias world? Share them! We may put it up in the section!
Also, don't forget...you can try to name the monkey! We still haven't found a good name for him yet, and I have faith in all of you to think of something hilarious.
Guestbook
I was reading through a few of the messages, and some of you are really very funny. Go read, or if you'd like, sign our guestbook! We love to hear what you think of the site. It keeps us coming back everyday. : ) And while you're at it, vote for us in the Alias Top Sites List.
MV Media!
Thanx to Angela for the heads-up, you can now trek on over to VartanEtc. to watch 3 new MV clips. The KTLA clip, and 2 OHP clips!
Also, it's been discussed on the VartanEtc. boards that Alias will be shown on Channel 4 starting Sept. 14th, at 17.30 [sic], and season 2 will probably start on Sky One around January 2003.
Reinventing the spy game
Finally, go and read a great new article about how Alias packs a punch, thanks to Daily Variety.
Have a good week everyone!
