INCOMING TRANSMISSION ...

Thursday, April 3, 2003 Update by: Lugia, Vartan Ho #8

The stars in your log
This past night, I dreamed that I met the creator of science fiction. Don't ask. ;) Now fittingly, there's some recent Jen quotes about Alias from Starlog, a scifi magazine. Thanks go out to kzingirl at TWoP. :)

Hysterical fan art
Kudos to David Anders' official site for posting this sketch. It's depicting the cast from season 2, a companion piece to the season 1 art that appeared in Alias: Declassified. So fitting!

Bloopers and Spoofs
JW was kind enough to clarify a few recent "Truth Takes Time" bloopers, so we took them down. Glad we could do something in favor of the editing department for a change. ;)

And I know it's not April Fool's anymore, but you just have to check out this ABC spoof. Truly remarkable work, and so close to reality. ;)

Get in line for the Season 1 DVDs
'Cause, according to Debby, Vartan Ho #50, and woemcats at TWoP, who both cited a TV Shows on DVD heads-up, they're coming out in widescreen after all. Yeehah!

Reminder to catch MV on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Latest reports indicate that he will in fact make it. He was taken off the guest list earlier, as it wasn't clear if he could get out of shooting the season finale long enough to appear on the talk show. But it looks like this schedule conflict has been resolved, and he'll be on.
Of course, the work on Alias is grueling and unpredictable, so we can't make any guarantees. We recommend to tape it this Friday, and to keep checking the above site for udates. Thanks to Betty for keeping us up-to-date. (Which is 9 a.m. in this case. ;)

Have a good Thursday!

I'm a very jealous Ho
Some fans attended the 4th Annual Hollywood Makeup Artist & Hairstylist Guild Awards on February 16. Monica was kind enough to pass on some of her personal photos. Oh, to be that close to the actors! Especially one in particular.... Thanks, Monica!

Updates, get yer updates!
Kate was very busy updating some sections around The Safe House. We've got new music on the Wist List. (And they're using some of them! It might just be coincidence, but we prefer to think that they're listening to Ho suggestions.)

We also have new bloopers and coincidences. You can be amused and intrigued by both!

"Endgame" by the numbers, again
According to ABC, "Alias" tied with "The Bachelor Revealed" at No. 16 among Adults 18-49 and was No. 20 in Adults 18-34 out of 113 total programs. In case you need a translation, that means that "Endgame" did pretty well among the demographics that advertisers love.

Finally, very sad news for any couple: Reports indicate that Jennifer Garner and Scott Foley have separated. We would like to take a moment to remind everyone that these are real people with real feelings. Such events are very painful for everyone involved, and the fact that this is playing out in the public eye is extremely unfortunate. We wish them both well.

VartanHo heads-up
We had a late update yesterday, so make sure you check it out below! It includes some interesting spoilers from Kristin at E!Online.

We're still lobbying for the inclusion of bloopers
If you want to see the cover for the first-season DVDs, click here. Or you could just look at the cover of your Alias Declassified book. Thanks to woemcats at TWoP for the link.

A date with SpyDaddy!
If you've got a heck of a lot more money than I do, you can bid on a private guided tour of the Alias set with Victor Garber, including a "meet-and-greet" with the cast! The second-annual Hollywood memorabilia charity auction is a collaboration between Artists for a New South Africa (ANSA) and Entertainmentrarities.com. To bid, follow the link to "Hollywood Past and Present" here. The auction goes through April 11. If any of our visitors wins the auction, we expect details! Thanks to SpyDaddyRulez at TWoP for the link.

"Endgame" by the numbers
ABC put its spin on the Nielsen ratings for "Endgame" in its ratings release about Sunday. Some nice demographic news.

I hope nobody gets any particularly evil tricks played on them for April Fool's Day!

Spoilers!
Sorry for the lack of update yesterday. We're still reeling from that yummy Vaughn scene ; ). To make up for it, we've got some new spoilers from Kristin's chat tonight. Eek!

Music makes the people come together...
The music from last night's ep is up! And congrat's to Ashely, who got her wishlist song on the show. See- they're listening to us!

That's it for today. Have a good week folks!
