INCOMING TRANSMISSION ...

Sunday, April 3, 2005 Update by: Mel TM, Vartan Ho #13

More international Alias news
Emilie and Jo both wrote to let us know that the fourth season of Alias will begin in France on April 19. It'll be on the satellite channel Téva starting at 8:30 p.m. You can also tune in on April 8, 9, 15, and 16 for "Alias Nights Season 3" to catch up on that glorious (ahem) season if you missed it.

Whatever happened to lady Jane?
We're not sure this will wind up being Michael-related, but just in case...Jane Fonda will be appearing on "60 Minutes" tonight. She'll probably be talking about her new book, but surely "Monster-in-Law" will get a mention, and maybe they'll show a clip. So if you're interested, you can check that out.

Have a nice, lazy day of recuperation from that lost hour of sleep!

Punk this, Ashton
The new Us Weekly has a blurb about Michael being Punk'd, which you can read about here. Given that Michael has said on talk shows before that he has a fear of flying, that was a particularly cruel and unfunny "prank." Ashton is probably lucky he didn't get a hockey stick upside the head. I hate that show. Frankly, I'm glad that experience will never see a TV screen, as I really would rather not see Michael subjected to that nonsense. Horrible! Thanks to Kitty and Debra for the heads-up on this one.

New promo pic
ABC has put out promo pics and an episode description for episode 18 of "Alias," "Mirage." You can check out a picture of Vaughn at a bar here. (He's not having a Vartini -- wrong color!). We've also added the episode description to this page.

March caption contest
The results of the March caption contest are going to be delayed for a few days until all the Ho Webmistresses have a chance to vote on it. So you still have a short time to send in an entry.

Alias in the UK, take 2
We posted last time about the start of the new season on Bravo in the UK. Emma X wrote and told us the time we said was wrong: "The new season actually starts at 9:00 p.m. with a double bill, but they show the season 3 finale before that at 8:00 p.m." We're not there, so we advise UK Hos to check their TV Times or other listings. Thanks, Emma X!

Spring forward
We want to remind those of you whom this affects that daylight-saving time starts tonight, so remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed. Aw, man, the last thing I want to do right now is lose an hour of sleep!

New promo pics
ABC has put out promo pics and an episode description for "A Clean Conscience," episode 17 of "Alias." You can check out the pictures of Vaughn chatting up an impressively tattooed chick right here, and the episode description is on this page. The casting info should excite you just a bit if, like me, you're a fan of Christopher Guest's movies (and certain whimsical "X-Files" two-parters).

Alias in the UK
V wrote to let us know that season 4 of "Alias" will be starting up in the UK this Sunday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. on Bravo. Thanks V!

So...Drew Goddard is still awesome, buried-alive plots are pretty darn exciting, and Marshall sings the best lullabies ever. I love Marshall missions!

"Monster" buzz
According to the Boston Herald, "Monster-in-Law" is a big hit with preview audiences. I've also chatted with someone who saw one of the previews, and she loved it, too. That makes me very happy to hear.

Two-hour "Amazing Race" tonight! Plus a new episode of "Veronica Mars" (which Time magazine just rightfully named one of the six best dramas on TV) and "American Idol." I've got a busy night of being a couch potato ahead!

"Monster" in Atlanta
We mentioned this several weeks ago, but Rachel reminded us, so we wanted to remind you. :-) The East Coast premiere of "Monster-in-Law" will be held on May 5 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. It's being held as a benefit for GCAPP, the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention. You can order tickets at Ticketmaster.com. We hope some of you Georgian Hos will be able to attend. Thanks, Rachel!

Busy Hos
Since we're going to be a bit short-handed for the next week or two, we'll just be updating the What's New page when we actually have something to shout out, instead of every day. Of course, if we end up having Michael news every day, you probably won't notice a difference!

Well, that was some weekend of NCAA basketball, wasn't it? Yowza.
