Coverboy
The Hos have something really cool to look foward to! According to the Freeze the Disease Web site, Michael will be on the cover of the July 23rd release of Santa Clarita TODAY Magazine, along with an interview. Finally, Michael on the cover of a magazine! Big thanks to Rosemary for the heads-up!

Happy holiday weekend!
No news to report today, and we just shouted out the new caption contest yesterday, so I can't fall back on that. So I'll just say that I hope that all of you Americans who are celebrating the Independence Day holiday have a safe and fun long weekend. Be careful on the roads! I saw a news item that AAA is expecting a record number of people on the roads this weekend. (Guess people won't be dissuaded by the high price of gas!)

Talkative Vaughn
The results of the June caption contest are now live (beware of S4 cliffhanger spoilers)! Congrats to winner Danielle! I want to send out a special thank you to all who participated last month! You guys were very creative, and we received close to 100 e-mails! That's the biggest turnout we've had (that I can remember), so it gave us all warm fuzzies and a great time voting for the best. The pic is still fitting, Vaughn would be shocked! Heh. We've released the contest for July, too, so see what you can make of that pic. :)
Happy July!

Pic coda
Today we have the last of Angie K's big batch of pictures: Jennifer, Bradley,
and Michael being shiny happy people at the
2002 People's Choice Awards, and some pics of the
ABC 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Thanks once again to Angie K for unearthing all this great stuff.
Try to stay cool!

Books or Games?
Summer distractions are so much fun, especially if you're holding a good book in your hands (the new Harry Potter will be out soon), or a swanky new console, such as the Playstation Portable. Since Michael seems to share that faible, we're running with Angie K's high-res "Pret A PSP" pics today. I'm definitely a fan of his fun T-shirts, and he is coolness personified the way he's lounging there.
To stay with the theme, there are also older, but not less pretty, pics from the "Alias: Declassified" booksigning. Shy T-shirt MV this time. Love his watch! Too bad they never do these cast things anymore.
No matter how you opt to spend your time today, I hope it's good!

Take Michael home with you
According to DVDanswers.com, "Monster-in-Law" will be released on August 30, in a two-DVD edition. Sounds like it's going to be chock full of extras! Yes! I know I'm particularly interested in the "Vartan the Man" featurette, LOL. And Wanda Sykes doing ep commentary will probably be a total hoot. And a blooper reel! Score! Big thanks to artemis7520 for the heads-up!
Promo-palooza
Today's new pictures are promo images for three of Michael's older movies and come courtesy of the ever-resourceful Jinnie. There's one from "Never Been Kissed (first pic), one from "The Myth of Fingerprints" (last pic) and one from "One Hour Photo" (last pic). My favorite is the one from "OHP" -- I don't mind the long hair so much.
"Monster" mash
In keeping with the theme of MV's movies, we've added three U.K. reviews of "Monster-in-Law," transcribed by Carol-Anne. Time Out wasn't very complimentary. The Daily Mirror liked it but made the appalling error of misspelling "Vartan." The less said about The Daily Mail, the better. Thanks, Carol-Anne!
What's in a name?
A visitor let us know of the amusing coincidence that there's a line of Vaughn hockey equipment. I wonder if Michael has any of that?
Call for humor
Today is the last day to send in your entries for our June caption contest. Good luck, and happy captioning!
It's gonna be a bittersweet night tonight, watching the junior class of the 2004-2005 Tar Heels basketball team (plus freshman Marvin Williams) be selected in the NBA draft. I wish them all well, but, man, I'm gonna miss those guys!

Pic Frenzy
Since it was so much fun Friday, I'm going to repeat myself: We've posted new high-res pics from our goddess Angie K from the "One Hour Photo" premiere (first 5), the "Primetime Preview Weekend" (first 2) and the "13 Going on 30" premiere (first 7). Pretty amusing, huh? It's easy to lose track. Out of this bunch my favorite is probably the one where MV's making rabbit ears behind little Dylan Smith's head. But you can't go wrong with closeups of his face, either. So hot!
To include some newness, we've also added two galleries we didn't have before, pics taken at the "13 Going on 30" premiere after party, and the last courtesy of Jinnie at amusing-cliche.net, a casual photoshoot with the "Alias" cast ca. Season 1. Looks like summer alright! Thanks so much, ladies!
French is not the same as French
Isabelle from Quebec let us know that their title of "Monster-in-Law" is different from the title used in France. It's "Ma belle-m?re est un monstre" (My mother-in-law is a monster) opposed to "Sa Mere ou Moi" (His mother or Me) in France. This should be the same movie, dubbed in "International French," which they do in France, so it's quite puzzling why they retranslated the title. Oh well, if Quebec gets stuck with France-French versions these days, they should at least get their unique title! Interesting trivia.
Anyone else psyched for Le Tour de France? I'm counting the days!!
