Hit Frenchie... or is he?
Got up okay? I admit I can't believe it's still so early! They should turn the clock back one hour every day. ;) Of course, the sun is gone way too early as it is. Speaking of the dark, we've found a very cute Michael Mention in the Providence Phoenix from what appears to be another closet Vartan Ho. See, we've infiltrated everything! The article recommends the Providence French Film Festival and gives pointers on how to woo a woman in the dark (hint: speak French). It's funny that Michael is still brought into context with the French language so much, but hey, dropping his name out of context sends a whole message of its own!
Sunny Times
Since we're on the topic of rogue mentions, we've come across an interesting tidbit about the writer/director of MV's new movie. According to The Herald Sun, Greg McLean's previous success "Wolf Creek" is in talks for a sequel! Looks like its star John Jarratt, co-star of "Rogue," has also turned out to a bit of a sensation. So I'll venture to say this bodes well for Michael's first leading role. I've always been cautiously optimistic, but all these details add up, so it should really be fun! And we'll probably get to see Michael all sweaty, roughed up and dirty. Rowr.
I hope everyone has enough time today to finish up their Halloween costume!

Heating up the "Kitchen"
Kristin from E! talked to Bradley Cooper at a Fox party, and he had some comments about Michael's episode of "Kitchen Confidential." Sounds awesome!
You win some, you lose some
Alas, after a week of glory, the Wizard Sleeves went back to their losing ways in fantasy football this week. Thanks to Judith for the link!
A timely reminder
For those of you who have been on daylight-saving time, remember to set your clocks back an hour tonight. I think I will join Michael in that extra hour of sleep. Hmm, that sounds more interesting than I originally intended....
Have a great weekend!

Someone's in the kitchen with Michael
(Well, it's Bradley Cooper, but you already knew that.) Yesterday FOX put out a press
release for Michael's ep of "Kitchen Confidential," which
will air when the show returns on Monday, Nov. 14. The network must be really impressed with this episode
(or realize what a draw Michael is--gee, how novel) since it was filmed in the middle of the season and is
airing immediately after the show's long baseball break. I can't wait! Jason Bateman, Michael, Bradley, and
Wentworth Miller all in one evening. This is the best reason ever to look forward to a Monday.
It was all a dream
Coincidentally, Michael's guest spot on "Alias" also airs the same week, on Nov. 17.
ABC has released a bunch of stuff about it, including
this promo pic and
and episode description.
A further description from a location report can be found at
Alias-Media.
Time is of the ezzzzence
For all those of you who, like me, hate Daylight Savings Time (it's ALWAYS dark!), this is an
interesting survey. Watchmaker Montblanc polled a bunch of people as to what they would
do if there were an extra hour in the day, and Michael was one of the celebrities who participated.
While his answer doesn't make for the most interesting soundbite, it's totally the same one as mine. You
can check it out here. Thanks
to Tim for the link!

Boatloads of "Rogue" intel
Although Michael's participation hasn't officially been confirmed yet, we think it's a pretty safe assumption that "Rogue" is his new movie, so we went digging around a little. First up we have three general articles, which reveal some more script details (there's no way of telling if the script hasn't been altered in the meantime, of course). Go read one from Dark Horizons, a longer one from news.com.au with quotes from the writer/director about what inspired him to the script, and a really interesting one from The Age that explores if horror movies might have an effect on tourism. We've archived all those on our new "Rogue" articles page.
If you want to skip straight to the facts, Inside Film Magazine does a pretty good job compiling them all! You got producers, editors, music -- and what's most important, a wrap date for the film (Feb. 10)! So Michael will be downunder for quite a bit, and in summer no less! We've added those details to our new spoilers page, along with probably the best intel from today's palooza: Jodi describing the character Michael's going to play ("a man's man") and weighing in on why this movie is going to be a great thing! Thanks to Girasol for helping compile the links!

Ice, ice baby
With the month dwindling down, we've made it in time with the November calendar page. I hope you enjoy looking at the page for Michael's birthday month. Thanks to Perri for the theme idea! I think it was certainly fitting.
Caption this!
Also of note with the month winding down, you have only a few days left to get in your caption entries for the October caption contest.

Hold the Presses!
We've got semi-confirmation of the title of Michael's new movie from various news outlets. Moviehole.net reports that it's called "Rogue," and that MV is set to play an American journalist on assignment in Australia who -- get this! -- runs into a man-eating crocodile! Writer/director Greg McLean has previously celebrated some success with his similar-themed action-thriller "Wolf Creek" (it earned him seven AFI Awards nominations).
Needless to say, this will be a departure for Michael, but since he got so many scripts to evaluate and clearly wanted to break out of the "boyfriend" role, this must be the one that really spoke to him. I'm very happy for this opportunity for him to show more range! And a good, atmospheric thriller is always up my alley. ;)
Additional articles are at Monstersand Critics.com (where they spell his name wrong, grrr!) and The Sydney Daily Telegraph (who doesn't make mention of him being linked to the role yet). We're still waiting for official confirmation, but I think it's safe to put two and two together. See you in Australia, Michael!
