Michael is front-page news
The filming of "Rogue" appears to be big news in the Northern Territory, because the local paper had a front-page article about Michael et al's arrival to start filming. You can also see a very cute, albeit small, picture of Michael posing with writer/director Greg McLean, co-star Radha Mitchell and ... another important co-star. Hee. Glad to see they seem to have a sense of humor about it all! If any Aussies reading this have a copy of the issue and a scanner, we'd adore having a bigger version of that picture! Michael appears his usual adorable self.

"Rogue" is official
Surprising none of the sleuths who have been buzzing about it for weeks, Michael's
participation in "Rogue" was confirmed yesterday.

Jodi at SD-1 for the official word.
Speaking of "Rogue," if you want to probe the mind of the man behind it, The Age has
an interview with Greg McLean.
He's talking about his soon-to-be-released movie "Wolf Creek" here and not "Rogue," but it might
be interesting to you nonetheless.

Fleshing out "Rogue"
We've added an older synopsis of "Rogue" from Horror Fans Anon to its spoiler page. The information is from 2000, so it's possible that some details have changed since then, but it gives a good idea of what the movie is about. Thanks to Girasol for finding that!
Heating up the "Kitchen"
We've also gotten a slightly more detailed description of Michael's episode of "Kitchen Confidential." It really sounds like a LOT of fun! I can't wait.
Football update
Michael's Wizard Sleeves managed to get their second victory in the NFL Total Access Hollywood Fantasy Football League this week. Alas, they're still bringing up the rear in total points.
Caps from the past
Patrick has sent along his screencaps from episode 4.20, "The Descent." Not a lot of Michael in there, unfortunately, but if you're a fan of Mia Maestro, you should really enjoy them!
Airdate up in the air
Speaking of "Alias," ABC has taken the airdate of Michael's guest appearance off of their Web site, and he isn't listed in the synopsis for "Fait Accompli," the episode that is scheduled to air on Nov. 17. So it seems as if the episode with his guest spot will not be airing on Nov. 17 after all. Guess they got so eager to promote his appearance and put the promo picture of him up so fast, they messed up.
Happy "Everybody Hates Chris" day! That show is freaking hysterical.

It's November... again!
We had 31 days on our November printable calendar page instead of 30, but it's all fixed now. Thanks to Jessica, Vartan Ho #3857, for noticing! Tsk, I think we all wanted the holiday season to last just a little bit longer. Or we wanted to stare at that birthday theme longer. That's a real possibility. Hockey!Michael, mmh!
Approach with Caution
Michael won the poll for November's "Hunk of the Month" at Almost Human. Before we post any of the links, however, we'd like to remind everybody that last time we mentioned this site, some visitors got their computers infected with spyware and/or viruses after opening it. So be very cautious and activate your popup blockers if you must visit! On top of the page of the December poll, they've declared MV November's "Hunk of the Month" with an Alias promo shot of him boxing. You can visit that here (or not).
If you're curious how much of a lead he had, you can access the tally of all recent polls here. He won with 1589 votes, which were about 100 more than the usual suspects (James Marsters, Julian McMahon, etc.) got. Keith Urban got 1567. Justin Guarini got 1449 (!!) and has won a lot in the past (link), so we suspect there's some ballot-stuffing going on. You can vote three times a day. Michael took the title home once before, in March 2002. Thanks to Dan for all this information and the next bit, too!
Worth a Crush
There's something called a "Celebrity Fantasy Crush Chart" on eCRUSH, on which Michael has moved steadily up and is now at #7. You can vote on the top of the page for him to climb even higher! Yay! And I'm sure Drew Fuller has his fans, but he's not someone I'd think would make #1 for weeks! But then I'm very biased. ;)

It's your birthday
Michael's birthday is coming up in a few weeks, so we've been tossing around ideas of what
to do to celebrate. As usual, we're hoping lots of you will want to participate. What we
want to do is assemble a collection of items--art, filks, slideshows, and especially music
videos--that show appreciation for Michael and his work in some way. Really, it's all about creativity. However
you can best express yourself, we'd love to see it, and we'll post it on the 27th. Send in
your ideas, art, and videos to thesafehouse@vartanho.com over
the next few weeks.
We'd also like to do a continuation of what we started with the Hollywood Reporter ad. Obviously,
there are tons of reasons we appreciate Michael, and we could only squeeze a few into the ads. So start
compiling your lists, we'll put a big one together, and we'll pass it along to Michael's manager so
Michael can see all the support he has out there. And hey, this is bound to be a pretty easy
task, right?
We also wanted to mention once again that Vartanfan.com is hosting a
birthday fundraiser for PEP with
the help of Greg Grunberg himself. It's a great cause and a great project, so how can you
say no to that?
Bad boys
The results of the October caption contest are in, and we had a tie for
first place: congrats to Shelley and Hayley!
Our next photo comes from the upcoming "Kitchen Confidential," so those of you
who are really adventurous will try to determine what Michael and Bradley are
looking at before you watch the episode. I know you're up to the challenge!

Happy Halloween!
Since there's not much going on in Michael Land, I'll leave you to your spooky day! Personally, I got a kick out of putting up the Halloween design (and other decorations)! Credit goes to SB for putting it together back in the day (greetings to you and all former webmistresses!). I always enjoy digging it out because it's still just stylish. Ah, will be a fun week to update!
Hope the trick or treat gods (or, depending on your age, kids), will be kind with you tonight! ;) Have a crazy enjoyable evening! I think I'll just sit back on my couch in best Rodney McKay fashion and enjoy some Outer Limits episodes. You know, someone's gotta stay home to hand out the candy (leftovers, baby)!
