Somebody gets it
Entertainment Weekly's TV choices for Monday include our highly anticipated "Kitchen Confidential." Their comment?
"Hasn't Michael Vartan suffered enough? The least they can do is run his episode."
To which I say Wordy McWord!
Happy cookie baking!

It is, how you say, ON -- we hope
Barring any last-minute changes over the weekend -- and you never can tell with the Fox network -- Michael's episode of "Kitchen Confidential" is still scheduled to finally air Monday night at 8:30. If you know anybody with a Nielsen box, do whatever you have to do to get them to watch the ep. Whatever you have to. True, the series itself is dead in the water, but it would be good for Michael's rep for it to have a bit of a bump in ratings. And it's a really hysterical episode.
'Tis the start of holiday party season! And I haven't put up a single decoration yet. In fact, I still have up my pumpkin lights and Thanksgiving yard stake. Sigh.

Michael with the laughing face
The results of our November caption contest are in, and you can view them
here.
Congratulations to Martine and Kendrah! I love a good dig at the FOX network any way it comes, so several of these
particularly amused me.
We wanted to note that we've changed the red donation link above the daily update to
UNICEF, which is raising funds to help with relief efforts in South Asia, which was
ravaged by an earthquake in October. One of UNICEF's primary goals is to vaccinate children
against diseases like measles and to care for those orphaned by the disaster. Even if you aren't sure
you can donate, the link above contains stories that haven't been very well-publicized, at least
in the American news media, that are definitely worth reading.

Revival of Australian film?
There's an article in The Australian today that analyzes the bright prospects the Australian movie industry faces in 2006. The author chronicles the more anticipated Australian productions and "Rogue" gets a brief mentions towards the end. The amount of it is amusing considering they're running a very gorgeous set photo of Michael with the article. Eyecatcher much?
Heading into the final week
Michael received a belated birthday present from his Wizard Sleeves because they won their third match this season with a very pretty score of 103-60 against Meet the Faulk-ers. That happens to release them from the burden of being in last place in points in week 12! Go team!
Happy Veronica Mars day!

AFI pictures
We've added several images of Michael at the AFI Awards posing with Melissa George and her doily dress. Also, if you couldn't access the pictures of them from SD-1 on Sunday (you have to be logged in to see them), you can see the small versions here. Hmmm, it appears as if Michael picked up a leech while he was filming in the water in Katherine Gorge. ;-)
Crunch time
If you wanted to send in an entry or two for our November caption contest and you haven't yet, you've got a last shot at it!
Have a good Tuesday! I hope your weather is treating you better than Lugia's is!

Cool "Rogue" article
With huge thanks to Rosemary, we have a very interesting new "Rogue" article that
features lots of quotes from Michael and from Greg McLean. It sounds like this movie will be much better
than its "crocodile hunts tourists" summation. It also sounds like Michael is having a blast, which is always nice.
Finish out the year in style
The hardest-working woman in Ho business, Souris, has finished the 2005 printable
MV calendar with the December page.
I defy you to find a more enjoyable calendar on the shelves of your local retailer. Enjoy!
PEP Birthday Project
We just wanted to say congratulations to the folks at Vartanfan.com for
raising $1900 for the Pediatric Epilepsy Project in honor of Michael's birthday. That was a great
cause and it was very cool for everyone to donate.
Apparently today is the biggest cyber-shopping day of the year. Happy clicking!

Update: AFI coverage
Looks like the Hos are getting some presents on Michael's birthday! (Although it's now the 28th in Australia....): mitchum, Vartan Ho #3883, has provided
a short vidclip of Michael arriving at the AFIs. Huge thanks for that!
With more huge thanks to Rosemary, we've added an interview with Michael and a "Rogue" co-star from the AFIs.
Also, you can see some
images of Michael with Melissa George at SD-1. Thanks to Girasol and AngieK for posting those!
Happy birthday, Michael!
We'd like to wish our favorite actor a very happy #37 today! Given all the positive attention
he's been receiving lately, we can only hope the coming year is the best ever for Michael, both
personally and professionally. He deserves it!
Now let's get down to some of the reasons why. Back when we started our ad campaign for Michael, we
asked for some reasons why all of you appreciated him. We've compiled those reasons (and some new ones) on
this page. There's definitely a lot to love.
A few of you also sent us some creative things, which you can find
on our fanart page.
Jessie sent in the file titled "Birthday Wallpaper," which is a very cool wallpaper featuring
Michael (and Millie!). Racheal, Vartan Ho #3693, also put together a PowerPoint presentation called
"Everything Great About Michael Vartan," which pretty much says it all. Very cute!
In good company
Wanna know who Michael shares his birthday with? Here's the list:
Actor James Avery is 57. TV personality Bill Nye is 50. Actor
William Fichtner ("Invasion") is 49. Guitarist Charlie Burchill of
Simple Minds is 46. Drummer Charlie Benante of Anthrax is 43. Drummer
Mike Bordin (Faith No More) is 43. Actor Fisher Stevens ("Early
Edition") is 42. Actress Robin Givens is 41. Actor Michael Vartan is
37. Rapper Skoob of DAS EFX is 35. Actor Jaleel White ("Family
Matters") is 29. So Michael's Fantasy Football League rival shares his
birthday. Small world.
Michael at AFI Awards
Michael attended the Australian Film Industry awards last night, along with Aussie
notables like Greg McLean, Radha Mitchell, and former costar Melissa George. So far there
are no pics from the red carpet (what is up with that, Australia?), but he was seen on the
television broadcast. Thanks to vaughnalicious and Dani_Blondy at
SD-1 for the info.
New "Rogue" pic
Another pic from the filming of "Rogue" at Katherine Gorge has surfaced, this time from
the November 20 shoot, and you can see it here.
Yeah, I think we're gonna like this movie.
Have fun today, and if you want to toast Michael on his birthday, may I suggest
a celebratory Vartini?
