SUNDAY XL!!
I wasn't even going to watch, but now I'm real excited! I don't have a particular favorite, so go Steelers! I read in my TV guide that up to one billion people worldwide will be watching the Super Bowl! Guess the Stones will be selling some more albums. ;) I wonder how popular their titles will become at the iPod music store. Dude! If you happen to be watching for the ads, keep a lookout for MacGyver (or click yourself to superbowl-ads.com). Happy evening!

Extras, extras, read all about it!
Out of the vast sea of the Internet, Lugia managed to find a small article written by a girl who was an extra on "Rogue" for a couple of days. It was published in what appears to be a local council government newsletter. What lucky girls!

Hey, is this thing on?
If you tried to visit the site yesterday and weren't able to get it to load, we wanted to let you know that our Web provider was having a technical issue and we were consequently down for a few hours. Luckily, they managed to resolve it fairly quickly.

Have a Super weekend! Since my Panthers are out of it, I guess I'll root for the Steelers out of solidarity for Mel. :-)

Good luck charm
Christine passed along a really cute item from Le Figaro (a French newspaper) about Michael's presence at Amelie Mauresmo's Australian Open match, and you can read it here. Now see, it probably would have had the opposite effect on me, because I don't know that the tennis ball would have commanded the proper amount of my attention in that situation. But good on Amelie for pulling it out!

Enjoy this Super weekend, everybody! I'm hoping for some serious par-tays in Pittsburgh on Sunday night--I think the Seattle fix will be covered by the post-game "Grey's Anatomy." Go Black and Gold!

What About Alias?
The suits at ABC seem to realize which of J.J. Abrams' children is his redheaded stepchild. They've left Alias off the midseason schedule. It was originally supposed to return in March, but now there's no word on when it will come back to finish out its run. Interesting. Maybe the extra time will give J.J. a little window to maybe pen a sentence for the finale. Good times!

Have a great Thursday!

Krafty Kaptions
Wow, so the new year is one month old already. But it has a good side since we can now shout out the winners of the first Caption This of 2006! Yay! Congrats to both Shelley and Joyce, Vartan Ho #1862, who sent in the same, most brilliant caption. Whee! We've also posted the pic for February, so we hope everybody has fun with that. Thanks for participating!

And thus endeth the update. I actually had a nightmare about Duncan last night, so I'm showing "VM" the cold shoulder (even though Wallace shouldn't have to suffer!).

Instead I'll send everybody over to the latest Microsoft Advisory concerning the Nyxem/Blackmal/MyWife worm that can infect Windows systems. It is "dependant on the user opening an infected file attachment," so please never open email attachments you don't know the sender of!

Make sure you scan for viruses and remove them before Friday, because if you're infected with Nyxem, it will "permanently corrupt a number of common document format files on the third day of every month [this Friday]." These files include Word documents, PDF files, Photoshop files, and zip archives among others.

Dry well
Ah, we've had too many interesting news items and tidbits over the past few days, so now of course it's evened out and there's nothing new to report today. Bah.

Can I just say that Bill Buchanan is the rockingest head of CTU ever? I think he and Super Secret Service Agent Aaron Pierce should challenge Pres. Logan and whomever his Veep is in the next election. I bet Martha would vote for them. [/"24" talk]

Pic proof from women's final
We've finally been able to unearth a pic of Michael at the Australian Open women's final, thanks to the nice people at the Herald Sun. The only thing that's odd is that it doesn't match accounts, which had him wearing a blue-collared polo in the audience. I suppose he could've changed shirts before the interview (it was hot there) because he's wearing a black Sacramento Kings shirt in the pic.

Another MV sighting
Angie K passed on a blurb from the Sunday Age, that lets us in on how MV likes to spend some of his (nightly) freetime. I could get behind that! I'm just wondering if it was the producers of "Rogue" he was partying with, because making some other industry connections wouldn't be so bad! In any case, hope they had fun and you do too today!
