Mystery solved
The woman we saw at Michael's side at the Weinstein's pre-Oscar party is the editor of OK! magazine, Sarah Ivens. That's according to a picture in the New York Post. OK! had sponsored the event with E! and L'Oreal. Many thanks to Jodi and bvec43 for the link! We've added the pic to our gallery.
Hope everybody got out of the feathers OK today after losing an hour during the night. That pesky daylight-saving time has been messing with me for a week (in Germany the clocks are adjusted on the last Sunday of March). It's nice to have the sun 'til eight, but you always think it must be much earlier and you still have time to get things done. Stupid illusions. Hope you have a better time with it (no pun intended).

And the winner is....
Today we have the results of the March caption contest. Thanks to all those who entered, and congratulations to K. Dupre for the winning entry! The April caption contest is now open, so get cracking on those entries. In case you can't place the new picture, it's from one of Michael's episodes of "Ally McBeal." And, frankly, I think many of us can relate to the sentiment it expresses. ;-)
Since today is April Fool's Day, I toyed with the idea of adding some fake update item, like Michael is moving to Australia permanently or he's bought a minor-league hockey team. But that would've been mean, and I hate having pranks pulled on me, so I decided not to, in the spirit of the whole "Do unto others...." thing. Remember, don't believe everything you hear today!

Michael in first new Alias ep?
That's the story according to our simian friends over at ABC Medianet, anyway.
They've got Michael, Lena Olin, and Greg Grunberg appearing in
the first new Alias episode(s)
once it returns next month. Not a moment too soon on getting Michael back. It'll be nice
to see him wrap this thing up in that way he does so well.
How awesome was last night's "Veronica Mars?" "She's 18--It's Legal!" And yay
for the "Arrested Development" kids, who I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of in other
projects soon (sniff).

Show me slides
We've added an MV slideshow to our fan art section that Lorraine kindly made for Zaz awhile ago. Thanks for sharing it with us, Zaz! It's set to Depeche Mode's "Dream On" and really gets you in a dreamy mood. Lots and lots of pretty Vaughn pictures, cut together with MV footage and bloopers. He really is the man!

Last call for captions
The month is winding down, and you know what that means: Time is about up for you to send in your entries for the March caption contest. If you've been putting it off, put it off no longer!
Send your thanks to Michael
The folks at AliasConnection are planning to deliver a box of fans' thank-you notes to the production office for the cast and crew now that the show is ending. Obviously, a thank-you isn't remotely the sort of message we here at the Safe House would care to send to J.J. and the rest of TPTB ;-), but we think it would be wonderful for Michael to receive a lot of thanks, kudos and well-wishes from this, given what he's had to put up with in regard to the show this year. It's a nice chance to show your appreciation for him, his work and his class. Read more about it here. Thanks to Marko for the link.

Score for Charity
Michael has been invited to participate in the 3rd Annual Freeze the Disease Celebrity Hockey Game this fall to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Thanks to BamBam for the heads-up!
The people over there rock, so I hope he and many of you will be able to make it! The opportunities to meet him in person are rare, and it's been quiet on the hockey front, as well. Bet he'll enjoy skating on the ice of Staples Center. The event will be webcast on the site. We'll let you know further details as they become available.
This has become such a must. As is "24." Remember when it didn't air consecutively? How did we survive?!
