Promo monkeys
If they're going to lure us back for the finale, the ABC department has to do better than releasing one tiny promo pic of Vaughn! Hopefully that's not relative to his screentime, like that trailer was a few weeks back. We've also added the latest press releases. Looks like all ep titles are known.
Hiding the Truth
Speaking of "hidden" Vaughn appearances that made up most of season 5, SouthernGal, Vartan Ho #770, sent us scans from the official "Alias" magazine, that basically fan wank every bit of "suggestive" dialogue into a clue that Vaughn had been alive all along. And you think fans were desperate!
Also in that magazine is a cute behind-the-scenes pic from the "Alias" season 1 finale, "Almost Thirty Years." See, those were ep titles I could remember! Also thanks to SouthernGal for passing that on!
I'll go back to collecting my Panini FIFA World Cup stickers now. Anyone wanna swap? ;)

Fun with Michael
One of the many things we like about Michael is his sense of humor and ability to laugh at situations. Those traits are well on display in a new music video called "Funny Michael," sent to us by Lorraine in honor of Elsa's birthay. A very nice and creative gift!
Articles en francais
Also in a French vein, fieldstation, Vartan Ho #3931, sent us a couple of older scans of Michael interviews from the French Series magazine. Alas, we don't have translations, so I hope you remember your French classes well!
"Alias" online
Something that might be of interest to French (and other fans outside of the U.S.), ABC will be making Alias episodes available online for free (albeit with ads) starting on May 1. So you'll be able to download Michael's final few "Alias" eps the day after they air in the U.S. You can read more about it here and here. Thanks to Xanthoula, Vartan Ho #4009, for the info!
On the newsstand
Musicat let us know that the official "Alias" magazine has a script excerpt from the end of the episode that offered Vaughn's millisecond return. As you can see, the script paints a fairly different picture of his condition from what actually aired. That's fairly typical of "Alias," where episodes and entire plots have always been subject to change at the blink of an eye.
Musicat also let us know that the May 1 issue of People magazine, which won't still be on the newsstands in some areas because the "50 Most Beautiful People" issue started hitting newsstands yesterday, contains a picture of Michael and Jennifer filming on the beach, similar to the second one on this page. It's on page 22.
Have a good weekend!

The cycle of life
Here's some fun stuff from Chad Darnell's blog (one of the "Alias" casting directors, I presume?), forwarded
to us by kibejj, Vartan Ho #3626, and Helene, Vartan Ho #563. Check out this picture of Michael on the bike the
"Alias" folks were all given when shooting wrapped, and then visit the
blog main page for some
really sweet memories of the cast, including Michael. The top pic is of him with some of
the "Alias" ladies, and the story accompanying the bike photo is down the page.
Aw, this was enough to actually make me nostalgic, even if I'm still not enjoying the current episodes. Very nice stuff.
One second of high-res glory
Our beloved Patrick was having DVR issues during last week's episode and missed the huge
amount of screentime Michael had (I know, impossible, right?), but Lugia was able to get
her hands on a high-res copy and do a few screen caps. You can check out
Vaughn learning about his daughter here.
You remember how, when X-Files was winding down, they killed off the Lone Gunmen, who had
been sort of absent for a while, in a completely ludicrous manner? Well, I'm at least glad they didn't pull
that mess on "Alias" last night. I know they tried to do it with Michael, but I guess his fan base is
larger than Frohike's and it didn't exactly stick. I'm tired of gratuitous TV death! (R.I.P. Tony
Almeida.)

Happy Birthday to us!
That's right, today the Safe House turns four! ::insert confetti and streamers:: On this day in 2002, this site went live. In some ways, it feels like a lifetime ago, and in other ways, it feels like just yesterday. It's also a birthday for you, the Vartan Hos, because it's your contributions that help make the site what it is. The site and Michael's career have certainly undergone some changes in the past four years. We hope you've enjoyed visiting our site, and we look forward to continuing to follow Michael's career in the future!
You've probably noticed our spiffy new banner in honor of our birthday. Since we're getting up there in years, we thought a bit of a facelift was in order. ;-) And in case you'd like to get us something for our birthday, we'd love a few more entries in the April caption contest.
On location with "Rogue"
We've added a new oldish article about "Rogue" filming in the Northern Territory. In the accompanying picture, I think you can just make out Michael in the front of the first boat. Thanks to Girasol for the article!
For our birthday, we also get a new "Veronica Mars"! Logan is a nice present to unwrap.

Working Boy
We worked with the video interview from TV.com we linked to last week, and you can now look at shiny caps or download it to your computer. Some nice moments in there.
Working Girl
There's an interview with Michael's "Rogue" co-star Radha Mitchell at EW.com, in which she mentions our hunk. I love how he's the main reason to see this thing! I'm very excited!
In the meantime, I have to get my thrills elsewhere. How scary was last week's "24"?!
