Pre the Emmys
On EW.com there's a section called "Inspirations" that has a vidclip with a short appearance by Michael. Celebs were asked during EW's pre-Emmy party what inspires them on television and of course Michael gave a funny answer. The clip is over 19 MB, so it might take awhile to load. Michael is in the first quarter. If you want to save the clip to your computer, right-click here and "save target as". Thanks to Iolite for the news!
Post the Emmys
Tomato provided the intel that there's a little MV mention about ET and People's post-Emmy party in People magazine's "Inside People" editorial, people! Oy. That's in the 9/11 issue.
"The big show was over, but the special guest stars were still appearing: Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria and boyfriend Tony Parker shared Kobe beef. Michael Vartan held court at a table surrounded by admiring women."
There's also a photo of him at the party on page 74.
It tickles my funny bone that magazines always write about Michael being surrounded by women. It must be really obvious with him. But that's why we are 4200 Hos, right? Have a nice Sunday afternoon!

Karen sent us some nice large photos from the EW pre-Emmy party (oh,
EW, you just keep inventing ways for me to love you more). Man, it is so nice to actually have a spate of Michael news around here!
Still spy buddies
In the new Entertainment Weekly ("Project Runway" cover), Victor Garber
is the subject of the EW Pop Culture Personality Test. In the intro, he
says, "I had dinner with Michael Vartan on Saturday." Sadly, that's all the Michael you get, but
the rest of the article reminded me how witty Victor is and how I'd someday like to see him take on
a goofy part and defy expectations somewhat. He's a great hardass, but he's also pretty darn silly.

The event that keeps on giving
Thank you to fan Perri for sharing her SWS pics with us! I actually thought of it as "Stars with Chicks" the other day. Oy! I gotta say that high-res Michael, natural Michael, makes my day. And Perri said that he was "really sweet and nice and posed and talked with everyone." I'm glad fans had such great experiences!
All the other events...
We've added another photo of the EW pre-Emmy party to our gallery. Really neat shot of Michael posing with Bonnie. Thanks to BamBam for the heads-up!
Extra ran a segment about the same event yesterday, and Michael was briefly mentioned. Souris got the clip for us. No new quote in it for us, but doing the red carpet for pics is work enough! You can catch a glimpse of that in the video.
Going even more back in time, the Awful Truth column at E! Online ran a bit about Michael at the Celebrity Poker Tournament and his Emmy plans. Now that Ted's on vacation there's more news than Michael holding a phone... Thanks to Robin for the link!

Michael to the max
Is that too '80s an expression? In any case, leave it to Michael to show up for three events in one weekend, after months of hardly any sightings! So we've quite a bit to shout out today. Sit back and enjoy the pretty!
First up, we've added a slew of high-res pictures from Entertainment Weekly's pre-Emmy party on Saturday evening. Most are watermarked, but a huge thank you to Dani for the lovely unwatermarked ones! (In case you are wondering about the other people in a couple of the pictures, the woman apparently tickling Michael is Bonnie Sommerville, Mimi from "Kitchen Confidential," and the guy in the hat and very, uh, colorful tie is Taye Diggs. The guy in black is Clifton Collins Jr., whose Emmy nomination spawned that poker-tournament celebration Michael was at on Thursday.)
Next, there are several pictures from Sunday evening's Entertainment Tonight/People post-Emmy party. That party also gave us several mentions of Michael from various publications. Sounds like it was THE party to be at! And by not being at the Emmy ceremony itself, Michael must have gotten a head-start in beating the crowds. ;-)

More "sticky" goodies!
We've added a couple more photos to Chatty's gallery that were missing in yesterday's update, and have also opened up a completely new gallery with photos Kat Bonson took at the event! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm astonished what great-quality pics can come out of such an event! I sure would have a hard time getting close-ups or anything resembling a sharp shot. Love the fan poster! Kat's photos are available for purchase through her site, KatRose Photography.
September hottie
Remember Michel? Remember such legendary lines as, "OK, then I guess it is--how you say--on?" Or more importantly, "Mimi. Are you wearing a thong?" You can relive all the hysterics with our September calendar page that Souris has fabulously done to the theme of MV in "Kitchen Confidential." It's really too bad that this series was canceled before Michael could reprise his role as the sexy French chef.
Congrats to "24" and Jeremy Piven! Some things the Emmys get right. Didn't the cast look spectacular?

Hockey fun *and* party fun
In a surprising turn of events, it seems Michael was at two events yesterday! And we've got pics of both! First and foremost, he was at Stars with Sticks 2006 benefitting the Starlight Foundation, and Chatty was super sweet to pass on a whole gallery of great quality photos! Thank you so, so much!! It makes me so happy just seeing Michael again, and there are some exciting shots in there (hint: Chatty got him to sign something for the fans).
Secondly, Michael attended Entertainment Weekly's 4th Annual Pre-Emmy Party. There's only one larger picture for now, but hopefully more will turn up later (updated!). Thanks to Magalie for passing it on! There are quite a few on WireImage. Looks like he had fun chatting with his "Kitchen Confidential" co-star, Bonnie Somerville.

Out and about, part 1
Michael recently attended InStyle magazine's Stuck in L.A. Summer Soiree. Sounds like a very swank event. Cross your fingers that they have coverage in the actual magazine and run that lovely picture of him larger. Huge thanks to Kellie, Vartan Ho #3735, for the heads-up!

Michael also showed up for the "Ultimatebet.com, Kari Feinstein and Mike McGuiness Host Celebrity Poker Tournament to Honor Clifton Collins Jr.'s Emmy Nomination" (long enough title?). You can see pictures here and here. Thanks to Girasol for that alert!

Today is the 4th Annual Stars With Sticks charity hockey game, which Michael is expected to attend. If any of you are going, we hope you'll share your stories and photos with us (and the many other Hos who aren't lucky enough to be able to go). We have to live vicariously through you! :-)
