Bloody brilliant!
Bloody-disgusting.com (I wonder how many strange URLs we'll come across for this movie) has posted a new pic of Michael's character "Pete" in "Rogue" action. I love all the intense poses, but I'm also shallow and hope there'll be some pretty ones from the beginning of the boat trip, too! Thanks to bvec43 for the link.
Unexpected article additions
Still more articles from Australia! Who would've thought. There's an update to Dina Rosendorff's blog at the Herald Sun where she again shares some anecdotes about her encounters with Michael. Poor thing, but who wouldn't babble in the presence of this man? Higher brain functions are overrated anyway, and it sounds like he had fun with it! Thanks to vsf for the news!
And Michael actually got his wish of playing a few hands with poker king Joe Hachem, as chronicled in this article. There's a photo with this, apparently, in the Sunday Herald Sun, so if anyone can do a scan, we'd be most appreciative. But maybe we'll get lucky and it'll show up online in a few days like the Greg & Michael pictures did. :) Bonnie and vsf both sent this in, so thanks a bunch!

Michael won't be beaming
Apparently I've been hiding under a rock that doesn't get the JJ Abrams feed, because I was
unaware he was taking over the "Star Trek" franchise. Huh. Anyway, someone you won't be
seeing in the new "Star Trek" film is Michael, who assures us
Captain Kirk's shoes are too big to fill.
Maybe JJ's buddy Tom Cruise will do it. I guess stranger things have happened. Thanks

Clips and pics continued!
Vikki has found a video clip on The Age that includes a brief interview with Michael. We've again made some caps. The room looked packed! Thanks for the heads-up, Vikki!

There's also been more Cup Day coverage in written form. Read a little blurb from Tuesday's The Age about the Emirates marquee (can't anybody get his name right?!). And then Mez from Melbourne let us know that "he featured briefly on the news last night, saying how happy and excited he was to be here. ... A short blurb yesterday (Tuesday) in The Age newspaper revealed that while he's here, he's also hoping to take on our own Joe Hachem (world Texas Hold 'Em Poker champion) in a private game!" Thanks, Mez!
First official "Rogue" site live
The Weinstein Company has added "Rogue" to their official Web site under "coming soon." You have to scroll through the pics at the bottom until one of Radha shows up. Click on it for a summary of the movie, including the full cast list. They confirm the Feb. 2 release date and there should be a trailer soon! Thanks to Ricarda for the link!
Michael has made a friend
There's another new article at Moviehole.net discussing the possibility of a "Wolf Creek" sequel with Greg McLean, but most interesting for us is the last sentence. Apparently he's interested in working with Michael again! That is a big compliment for an actor. Again thanks to Ricarda for the news! Happy times!

Cup Day coverage: pics, vids, everything!
Yesterday was quite the big day for MV news! We've added some media out of Melbourne Cup Day for your perusal. First are the pics we shouted out yesterday in better quality with thanks to Dani for sharing!
Next up is a TV interview that mitchum, Vartan Ho #3883, managed to record and send to us. Huge thanks! We've done some screencaps from the clip if you can't access the video right now.
Keeping with that tune, we've also got a video from channel 10 news in two formats, with many thanks to bluebear-74! It's brief, but it was long enough for her to catch some screencaps, as well! Michael is getting more gorgeous by the minute!
And then Vikki comes through for us again because she passed on a new picture of Michael and Greg from Derby Day (first row) and a new article about his Cup Day doings. I love this fandom!!
And I hope they're serious about Michael hitting it big with a trifecta, which is, if you're clueless like me, "a particular type of bet that is very difficult to win, but it yields very high returns. To successfully win a trifecta bet, you need to specify the horses that finish in the top three spots in the exact order in which they finish." (Source: wisegeek.com) Sounds like Michael is taking away all kinds of stuff from this trip!

Public-service announcement
Today is Election Day in the U.S., and I'd like encourage all Americans who are eligible to vote to go out and do so. Don't be dissuaded by the fact that you've got a lot to do, or it's raining, or it's not a "major" election, or you don't think your vote matters, or whatever. Just VOTE. If you have friends who aren't planning to vote, badger them until they do. And if you know somebody that needs to be driven to the polls, drive them. Exercise your rights!
